  • What is 'AAA': After living abroad for 6 years i've decided to start a new web series called "American avoiding America" where we go into DEEP talk about reasons i've decided to leave the country, its stereotypes and the overall state of the country. I'll be sharing facts & figures, my personal stories comparing life abroad vs in the USA and what WE can ultimately do to try and reach a better future for upcoming generations.
HOW it works: If you've ever felt similarly about the US or your native home country leave your reasoning in the comments down below to inspire future episodes!
WHEN: An episode of American avoiding America will be posted once a month on my TH-cam channel, 'Cecily's Perspective'.
WHY: Bringing controversial topics and themes to light is the first step to finding middle ground. Why not start here?

    Cecily for President!
One of the issues I have as an American is American Excess - it's a 38-billion-dollar industry for storage facilities. I find it ludicrous that there is so much focus on having MORE, MORE, MORE and people are miserable and in debt up to their eyeballs. The American Dream.

Hi Cecily, here is a stereotype about americans (from europeans): americans do not have sincere friendships. Would be curious to know what you're thinking about that ;)

As an American, I can safely say that we do use a different definition of the word 'friendship' than in Europe and the rest of the world.
