housewife trick. don't store onions and potatoes together, the conflicting off gases shorten their life. store onions and potatoes away from each other but still in a dark place and keep apples with the potatoes to make them last longer.
I think those spice jars are great! I didn't realise until recently how happy clear storage jars like this could make me. I take labels off jar when I can (I won't if it leaves the sticky residue) but all I want is to see what's in there.
Am I the only one who place things I use pretty often at the back of the cabinets? I do this because things that don't used often tends to get forgotten, BUT when its placed in front of things that used pretty often, i will remember to used them up.

Thats actually really smart, and usually the things you use more would be in larger containers, so the smaller ones can go in front.

I love them too. Nope, I don't mind that. I either use a teaspoon or just my fingers (always clean, obviously) :)
