Thanks again. I do have most of those things. I think Im ready to decorate. Im just waiting for my planner to arrive. You are so helpful and informative
Yep, totally agree on the stickers. As a new planner I went and bought an embarrassing amount of sticker books, I hate to even say the number....30.... blink...cause I just wanted them all, and they are all so pretty, but sometimes it does make me hesitate to plan because finding the sticker that I knew I saw somewhere that I want to use, and knowing that I would have to go through all those sticker books, is overwhelming, so I hesitate to plan. Good tip, tfs
I have everything you listed & I'm a newbie! I absolutely enjoy SOOO much doing planning THIS as to my old boring way. It cost me a lot more money but it sure is fun & exciting. Plus with left overs, I make bookmarks or scrapbook embellishments. ❤ Love your channel & love watching your PWM's.

Thank you for all of the planner beginning basic items. I am new to planning and trying not to go overboard. Everything I have bought from The Happy Planner or Joann’s have been on sale. I am also EXCITED to be a new Patreon beginning May 1st. 😃😃😃
Hi Mary Ellen! I appreciate your advice to start slow! Being the compulsive personality that I am, I take the plunge, feet first, into everything I do! So of course I now have an abundance of supplies, some I use often and some - eh, maybe I'll use down the road! Having scrapbooked for years, I did have a lot of wonderful supplies already and I have journaled in books in which I actually had to create the format for myself. But it gave me the time to be creative and change and adjust to what worked for me and I found that I change my mind - a lot! Like month to month! Depends on what's going on in my life at the time. So I bought my first Happy Planner for 2020 - the classic Homebody - and I can't wait to get started! I especially like the disc bound flexibility and the ability to buy different filler papers and to add/subtract as the need demands. Thank you for all you do for us and for sharing your experiences as you go through them. Like I said before, experiencing your videos is like sitting down with a friend! Always enjoyable and very much anticipated! Blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving!!
I second the cute little planner puppy advice. A cat is a good alternative, just know that they will try to walk across your planner often. 😂 For those about to get into washi: you can find packs with all of the seasons or holidays in them at the craft stores and then use one of the 50-60% off store coupons. You'll have a nice collection of washi to start with and you didn't spend very much.
Great video. I went crazy with pens when I started but then I found Frixion pens and love them. They erase really easily and I hate having mistakes on my pages.
Learned a lot from your videos. I found what supplies I really like during this new way of my planning journey. I been using happy planner for almost 3 yrs. I always been a planner but not with all these cool supplies. It was with a pen, a pencil and sticky notes. From there I brunched out to this hobby and I really enjoy it so much.
Great tips! I probably should have watched this video sooner lol 😅 Still helpful since I didn't even think of some of the things you mentioned. There's a lot more to planning and planners than I thought, but you make it very manageable to learn about. In the stores it can get overwhelming looking at everything 😁
“Don’t go crazy with pens...” Has 3 cups bulging with pens😂😂😂...it’s ok...if you like planners, I’ll bet you are also a lover of many pens!!! Great video.
Nene Lady I started out with pens and markers as well as all types of stationary. I used to cut greeting cards and such and when someone gifted me the large Happy Planner, my world came together. Only recently I spent a LOT of money on stickers! 😂
LOVE BUMBLE! I stamp and if I’m completely honest the Happy planner stamps are rubbish! Lovely designs but bad material. If you’re going to try stamping you need decent stamps which make it so much easier! The sassy stamp club have tons that are incredible quality! Another awesome brand are Atelier Dreams, for smaller stamps and icons. I use these brands the most but I have a ton of others! Just wanted to say that - if you’re having trouble, try other stamps!
New to planning, just bought a little, basic, budget, a6 binder and some inserts, it came with some dividers, coloured stickers and some plastic wallets....I'm sort of kind of setting up my own little system with it. Just really seem to be getting "overwhelmed" with having so much on my plate, and feeling like it's becoming harder to keep track of all that I have going on. I've already recorded my priorities for the week and month and already I feel "lighter". Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and tips, thank you.
Hi!.. I love your videos. Thank U for sharing your beautiful ideas!!! 😍 Question: Do U also buy your actual Happy Planner agendas through Amazon? Or is it just the Happy Planner supplies?
Super informative video. I watched your one from last year and as hubby and I were shopping I kept saying "Bumble's mom said I nnnnnnneeeeeeded all this stuff" then I'd grin. He'd just exhale and shake his head, chuckling at me. I've even had him sit with me while I watched your vids on the tv and he was pretty fascinated. He was hesitant about getting his own, so I bought him a cheapie one from the grocery store and within the first month of having it and seeing how much it improves your life, he's hooked. I just ordered him a dashboard style while the Black Friday sales is going on. The only thing I noticed you didn't mention was if you're using Happy Planner, pick up a set or two of Expander Discs. Your planner is going to get thicker faster than you realize because of the stickers, any extra scrapbook paper or mementos you punch and add. I got mine at the end of September and by the first week of November I bought the biggest disc for my classic size. Anyway, excellent job on the video and yay for the guest appearance of Bumble!
Kenzie Logic yes, expander discs are pretty much necessary if you’re going to keep all the pages in your planner all year. I’m glad you got your hubby interested!
Great video. I'm going to check out the glue you mentioned for precision work. I have needed that a few times in the 10 months I've been planning. I think the best tip was to get a cute puppy. I have 2 and they love to help plan 😀🐾.
I just started a budget happy planner. I would like to add weekly pages-either horizontal or vertical. Where would get get those? What “pack” is it called? When I search for refill pages I always get lined paper or dot paper. Thanks!
I like , you need this puppy and you showed Humble and a happy planner item. At first I thought you were saying that you need a dog, then I realized , you were joking ! You got me ! Ha- ha ! Good one !
Don't go crazy she says. 🤣 Too late!! Even my puppy is oversized (she's a Great Dane). She's also almost 10. The snoring in the background is my favorite sound. This is all great info! I started this craze in August. I'm already finding out that my needs change frequently as far as layouts are concerned. I'm not even close to where I started 4 short months ago. Adding a PPweeks as my portable planner for 2020 to my classic HP for home. Question - what do the colors signify on the HP sticker books and what is up with the hair ties folks use on them?
I am not sure about the colours but I can tell you that they are not hair ties but an actually tie that goes around the sticker book to keep the pages closed and clean.
I loved this video!! based off your other videos I have watched I have ordered a lot of the stuff off your amazon suggestions list; two days Ago actually... I had a thought today... I know you do the doodle of the day but with the covid-19 stuff going on... do you think you could do a video that recapped some? like a "Bumble doodle favs" or something? I have some new notebooks and a mini and id love to fill them up with doodles; lettering and "Bumble" approved happy planner things. my Jackabee Oliver loves watching your videos with me
I ordered 3 sticker books today. I was only going to order two, but I had 20% off. I grabbed Faith Warrior (1010 pc), Everyday Plans (1486 pc) and Color Blocks (650 pc). I am in Canada so it prob sounds expensive but with shipping/tax it is 50 so that was a good deal IMO. Now, to wait on shipping.
@@kristamatheson4013 Thanks. I was looking there too, I was surprised by how high the prices are though. Will obviously keep looking though. I am sure at this time of year they get higher priced knowing everyone is buying for the new year!!
I purchased my first planner and a journal. The planner doesn't start until July. What do you normally do for June? Do you get an extension pack? I have a class starting next month, so I would like to use it when it starts.
Hi! Question.. with the decorating hobby, do people actually use the planners to add in their plans and things or just decorate and have a separate planner for filling things in? I’ve seen some videos where they decorate so much there’s no space left for writing. Thanks!!
We write in them…you can check out my after the pen playlist to see how I use my planners functionally: th-cam.com/play/PL3mb4iU9ToVMSIr7Po2Ub3n53_PoBxLeF.html For me, if I don’t decorate I don’t usually want to write in it. It keeps me using my planner. I use a big happy planner so there is tons of room. In my journal I write all over the place!
"don't go crazy with your stickers when start out" haha yeah too late!
Sarah Goldsworthy it’s so easy to do lol
Thanks again. I do have most of those things. I think Im ready to decorate. Im just waiting for my planner to arrive. You are so helpful and informative
Thank you this really answers one of the main questions I've had what do I need and what I dont to get started. Thank you so much.

❤ thank you, this was very helpful to me. I’ve tried planning a few times in the past and did not do well with it. Have a fabulous day.

I so excited about all these videos but I love live planning but there is nowhere I can get these planners in South Africa

I have sorta adopted Bumble to plan with me. Such a sweet face!
Great tips, even for those of us who have been in the planner world for a while. My favorite tip is getting a puppy to keep you company. Tfs 😊

The Arc disc-bound system from Staples has the best paper for disc bound planning. It is thick and easy to write, draw and plan on.
Trudy Crow I’ll check that out!
My daughter and I just started late summer. We have learned so much from you. Thank you😊
Dee Sherwood I’m glad you’ve found my content useful! Thanks for watching 😍

Muji .38 or .5 amzn.to/2OJxeUb
Your video is saying no views but has 6 likes.. .?? Love your videos sweet lady😍
Kristin Zolkowski yeah, youtube is slow to show number of views lately. Not sure why
Can you print smaller with the Selphy?
Mary Ellen how do you store those large containers of washi? Do u stack them? I kind of like that container tray I’m just curious how it’s stored away
6Little_pigs I put that in my desk drawer but I also have 2 art bins filled with washi
Planning with Bumble oh ok. That’s neat. I have the Alex desk n I think I might end up doing that too cuz I have a lot of washi
Does someone make repositional stickers?
First time ever being first to comment!! Lol Love your videos! :)
