My hair has been the bane of my life until I finally went gray. The texture completely changed and became soooo much more manageable. I let it grow out and have been French braiding it for a few years now. I’ve recently discovered French pins and some of your other videos worked, but these are the best! I’m 73 and finally love my hair. The last 2 are super easy and glamorous. Thank you for simple to follow, elegant uses of French pins!
I love my mom to pieces, but she's not the super feminine type and never really taught me how to do my hair. These videos are a godsend for women like me who are late bloomers when it comes to hair styling. Thank you!!
Same. My mom never put a lick of makeup or nail polish on, cut her own hair in the same short style all her life, and dressed mostly from llbean. Totally cool that that was her style, but I like looking a bit more feminine and like you didn't learn such things from her. Glad for TH-cam tutorials. 🙂
This is so much more comfortable than other methods I have used. I am new to this whole styling of the hair since I'm a guy who recently grew out his hair. There is so much to do and see! Thank you for this tutorial!
The best tutorial yet. I’ve been struggling trying to use my hair fork and after the first 3 minutes of this video, I now have it secured in my bun 🥰 thank you!
@@AlexGaboury the third look is the best ans i'll remark than certains youtubers try to imitate you but you are the only one for all your viewers.best tuto on your channel.
You made me buy this u-pin french clip i am not complaining i love it..using a normal pencil won't stay for long and this is cute it doesn't hold my hair hard...no more stress from the tightness
I just purchased these from target on a whim because I’m all about Kristin Ess. Found your video and I’m so happy I did! You’re adorable and you made this video so easy to understand. Thank you!!!
Reminds me of my grandmother’s using hairpins to pin up their very long hair into buns. This was the 1960s. My husband’s grandmother was still pinning her long hair up in the 1990s. She was much younger than my grandmothers. I’m definitely going out to buy some hairpins.
You inspired me to purchase these and I love them!! 😆 I work in food and have to wear my hair up everyday and these seem so much less damaging than elastics. I was a little skeptical because my hair is super thick and long (reaches my lower back) but 1 pin feels super secure in my hair! For the lefties out there I found it easier to bring it in on the left side rather the right. So cute! Love your videos😊
You’re my hero. I am a leftie. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying and failing at this yesterday, convinced it was my skill level. I tried it from the left and it IMMEDIATELY worked on the first try. Now I’m questioning every hairstyle I’ve tried and failed at, realizing they were probably all designed for someone right handed.
Wow! These give such a classic yet refreshing look! And bonus! They'll work with my crazy, curly hair! I am a sucker for the rose gold, too. Also I am attempting a Target run tomorrow morning. Wish me luck. I need toilet paper and everyone has been fighting over it at all the stores here. The world has gone mad! 🤦♀️ But now I can also look for these hair forks. So I am actually looking forward to that part. 💖💖💖
Omg these would look so great in your crazy curly hair, I am actually so jealous right now! Haha I hope you were able to get your hands on them, and on TP the shelves are still bare over here. 💕
Thank you very much !i finally made a french bun for the first time in my life after following your tutorial, this is like a dream come true ! I used to feel frustrated because i always want to make a french bun but don't know how to .
You have such beautiful thick hair! This is a great tutorial. Your instructions are so detailed and you do the steps slowly enough that I can see and understand what you're doing. I'm going to give these styles a try!
How often do you wash your hair to keep it so healthy while using heat often especially since it’s so frizz free???? Love your hair!!!! It’s gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much for this video! I have thick hair and so have always been lazy when it comes to hair styles, but when I saw these pins at the store I got curious. I haven’t found any other videos out there showing how to use these and am so grateful! For the first time in my life I am able to put all of my thick hair up into a bun without a painful and annoying, not to mention bulky, hair clip. 😭😍
Can you please do an updated hair routine video + tips and tricks and another video on what you ask for when getting your hair cut? I love your videos and your hair is stunning!
Hi Alex! I love your videos! Can you please make more videos using these hair forks? Thank you! I am learning so much from your videos, having so much fun with my hair🌸
I just purchased these (10 Oct 2023) and I feel like there is hope. I have thick hair and have only been using claw clips and elastic hair ties. Crossing fingers. Wish me luck !
I'm completely new to hair pics! Your explanation really helps! My hair is waist length in a spiral perm. It's hard for me to reach around the back of my head, do you know any tips that might help me? Tuvm!
these have been very fun to experiment with! nice way to style your hair even if you're heat-free (like me!) i love doing buns because i could never get buns right when using hair elastics.
Love! I got these a few weeks ago and I’ve been looking for more ways to use them; I can’t wait to give these looks a try 🌸 I hope you do another video like this, I’d love to see your other ideas! 💖
The Kristen Ess Hair Pins are such great quality for the price point! Sturdy and they haven't discolored with daily use....I think I bought them in 2019 for a trip to Aruba so they have survived sun, sand, ocean water AND a pandemic....lol
Thank you so much for info on not only a product I hadn't heard of, but 4 new & beautiful, soft, romantic styles that will look ethereal & still last all day! - Also, I am seriously loving the slight Japanese/space-age sleeve!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I lost my hair fork and I’m in the market for some new ones! I’ve always just create a simple bun with them thanks for the inspo cant wait to try out these hairstyles 💕
Me just stabbing the hair fork through without knowing you have to flip it. It fell out immediately (obviously) and I just thought my hair was dumb. Haha thanks!!
This is really useful, I may be a guy but I got some really long hair and it gets In My face a lot, but hair bands pull on my hair to much and break all the time, but these hair pins keep my hair nice and neat, and also are comfortable

They're so good once you get the hang of them! 💕
Just the distraction one needs right now! OMG the last one!! Beautiful, thanks Alex 😍

Alex Gaboury I did get tp. But then I left because it was insane there. Stay safe!!
I'm ditching elastic hair ties because they are awful for my fine hair. This tutorial is going to be helpful for my hair fork/pin journey 😆

Learning to do this for my wife
I have short hair (for hair sticks or forks), but the first bun works great!
