They turned Amelia's addiction into a alchool one for no reason in greys, but her actual journey was much more meaningful.
she’s still a drug addict, but i believe she doesn’t drink either because, as she quoted once, when she drinks she wants to use.
@@caturdaygirl1683 They went a bit overboard with that, like when she relapsed because of one drink that Riggs bought her: that's superalcoholic with no tools for moderation behaviour. She has been addicted to opioids and heroin on and off since she was a teen, but on private practice (and one would assume before that) she always drank normally, without it triggering anything, but that changed when she moved shows?

I actually forgot that they were so close. PP was the worst for these 2 especially Addy being a neonatal surgeon and can't have a child and Amelia being a brain surgeon and have a baby with no brain damn. I remember watching and saying what a wicked act. Amelia really has come a long way
Now some people will go enjoy the great Private Practice for the first time! I envy you! There were some seasons when I enjoyed it more than Grey's.

I liked Derek and all (some of the times) but Amelia deserved better, when Mrs Shepherd was first introduced I liked the woman maybe I'm alone but I liked her but Amelia deserved better! I hate the Shepherd sisters I'm sorry if that offends anyone but I do because Amelia Shepherd deserved better. Yes! She is flawed she is impulsive, she speaks without thinking, makes dumb decisions sometimes and her struggle with addiction did not make things easier. But, she was a child trying to deal with trauma of losing a parent. Let's stack up all the people Amelia has lost shall we?

There might be more but I forget either way that is a lot of loss! Meanwhile, she had a brain tumor imagine that?! A brain tumour!!! On the day of her wedding she was literally on the phone bawling begging her mom the way a child would to come to her wedding and she refused. None of her sisters attended either. I don't care what the fuck your excuse is you don't fucking treat family like that! You know it is telling that closest relationships her real family are people who she doesn't necessarily share blood with.
I am sorry for the rant it's Amelia as a character has been so badly treated.

Private Practice. When Addison left Grey's after season 3, she started her own spin-off show that span 5 seasons. In the later seasons, Amelia's character was introduced for the first time. Some time after Private Practice ended, Amelia came to Seattle and became a Grey's regular.

Yes there were. When Mark died, they did talk in PP. And when Derek died, they said in Grey's that Addie called her alot.
