There are a few ways back to the top of this route. On this day we were shuttling the downhill bikes using the main road. If you're pedaling there is a gravel road you can climb to the top, or I believe there is a new climb trail that was recently added to the area. A quick search of trailforks should show a few different options. I have climbed to this trail on an enduro bike, and it is definitely a bit of a climb, but doable. I hope this helps.
@@thebiketrailcatalog8043 Thanks for the reply. Gateway Green over in Portland got me to build a dirt jumper at the beginning of the summer which turned out to be a gateway to mountain biking, I should hopefully have my first full suspension bike together in a couple of weeks and Larch Mountain is just a short drive up a gravel road from me.
@@Fake_Name12345 It's good to know that the Gateway Green is expanding the Portland bike culture! Larch Mountain is a great MTB spot. If you're just starting out "Sixth Sense" is probably my favorite intermediate trail in that area, and is a little bit easier to get to than Thrillium if you're going to pedal up. I filmed if for the channel earlier this year, but a significant amount of water/mud ended up on the lens, so I was unable to post it. I'll try to get a video of that trail by the end of summer.
Thank you! After a bit of practice I was able to cut off quite a bit of time from this lap the following weekend. I shot this video on a GoPro Hero 7 Black. I've considered updating, but I might wait until we see what the 10 has in store for us.
@@thebiketrailcatalog8043 I need to ride Yacolt . It’s only an hour from my house . I normally ride Post and Sandy Ridge . The footage looks great even with a gopo7 . I have been debating to upgrade my 7 to the 9 also .
Found the drop in today. Great area!
Love the commitment to the DH bike, sounded painful to pedal it though haha
That flat section is killer on a DH rig. If I was going for time I think I would ride an enduro or significantly stiffen up the suspension on the DH.
How's the ride back up to the top? Is there a gravel route back up?

I was just hoping you'd upload this trail soon! Been scoping out the conditions lately... Was this run a day or two after it rained?
I don't remember when it rained, but I filmed this on May 1st. Hope this helps!
