    I think it was clear that Hazel was 'playing' whereas I couldn't work out if Daley was serious or not. I could tell she was a bit scared.

    He should of never put his hands on her and she should have never pulled his shorts down they're both in the wrong but as a woman it must of been scary being on your own with him in that situation towards the end

    What you are not understanding here is that she could never over power him. He could and that is ALL the difference in the world. He changed in that room from any previous moment she'd experienced with him and she had no time at all to adjust or take that in but she hadn't flirted with that side of him. If that's a man's play fighting I don't want someone I care about to be in a real confrontation with him.

  • @MrsVenus27

    Totally agree. He had a chance to half redeem himself in the interview & instead he took the cowardly root of blaming everyone but himself. Hazel was playing/ flirting, he made it nasty/ threatening- end of.

    thank you! I cannot believe some people are saying what they did was equally bad. A bad character is not the same as a potentially dangerous character. Daley was removed from the house because if he wasn't and then something happened, they would be showered with justified lawsuits. Hazel showed unlikeable behavior but didn't show threatening behavior. I never knew audiences could be so desensitized.

      I'm sorry, but what would you do if an aggressive boxer was towering over you while you were laying down and threatening you after he's slapped your ass twice? She was trying to diffuse the situation, or make light of it, which instead made him turn even more aggressive. He's disgusting.

    The 'flirting' had nothing to do with what happened that night and including that is exactly how women get implicated in blame when it comes to threatening behaviour towards them. Emma shouldn't have linked the flirting and the violence together, they're two separate incidents.

    • @eon001

      Yea I'm actually confused as to why she even brought that up. The flirting and didn't lead to him putting hand on Hazel.

  • @HenryPage
    @HenryPage 9 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    You took your housemate by the throat and said you would 'nut' her, it wasn't just its potential to offend, it was violent, it wasn't 'play-fighting'. Having said that, Hazel behaved disgracefully. She should not have acted the way that she did either. Both should have been evicted one after the other. Daley's apology on the clip seemed genuine and I feel that he has understood the concerns people have about the behaviour that caused all of this.

  • @jake831000
    @jake831000 11 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    the fact that people are taking his side and pinning all the blame on Hazel is quite disturbing really. The way he got aggressive and started threatening her was disgusting. There was no way Hazel could defend herself, and she was quite clearly very scared. Men are supposed to look after and protect women

    • @itsnothinglong1

    I'm afraid I have a problem with the comment "it takes two to tango". When a man intimidates a woman and threatens her like he did by using his physical strength is pure and simple a case of domestic violence. i think this should result in a police investigation,because it certainly would if it was reported in society.
    The young lady was obviously scared of the situation and said as much in the diary room. Channel 5 shouldn't have returned to the same room,nor given the man a chance to justify.

    I think had he stayed in the house after the formal warning, i dont think it would've happened again, it was one night with too much to drink that got out of hand, but i dont blame Big Brother for not taking that risk, he could've potentially been a very dangerous housemate so removing him was probably the safest way to deal with the issue.

  • @potsiiscool
    @potsiiscool 11 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    He was removed because he was a potential threat to the other housemates because he showed abusive behavior. It's not a "who started it" issue. Pulling someone's pants down (someone you've been flirting with) moral or not, does NOT show signs of a dangerous person. Grabbing someone by the neck, pinning them down and threatening to finish them does. Often times there's a double standard between genders. This is not one of those times.

      @christina_x1817 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

  • @livgracebee
    @livgracebee 11 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    To be honest, it was both of their faults. Daley was unstable when he arrived in the house, and I'm not being funny but when is pulling down someone's boxers ever ok when live on TV. I do agree that Daley's actions were VERY extreme, but he was provoked. What annoys me is the fact that everyone considers Hazel as the innocent one, and she acted like that as well, getting mad when someone even mentioned his name. They probably both should have been removed

    He pressed hard enough to push her down. "It happens all the time in relationships" is your argument? Well so does gonorrhea. Doesn't make it ok. And you're right, we don't know what he was thinking but he was removed in case he's a truly violent person. He was a potential threat to the safety of others. They shouldn't keep him in because he might not be an actual threat. Too risky for both the housemates and the show's legal team. If you get this aggressive when drunk then DON'T DRINK.

His behaviour was abhorrent, irrespective of her actions beforehand, however much he may have drank or what he says his intentions were behind it. If Daley hadn't been ejected, he would be in the same situation with Hazel, they'd still be endlessly flirting and Katie would still feel heartbroken. The fact of the matter is it's all too little too late, whether he is upset or not he needs to just move on and try to find another woman - because right now he doesn't deserve Katie.

    he should have just got away from her when he realized was getting angry, it's not worth getting thrown out of big brother over some meaningless woman. he should consider his actions more if he knows he has an aggressive nature. i just think they should have given him a final warning, there's no way he would have done something like this again. he's got more balls than anyone in these comments for explaining himself like this when he was obviously nervous and emotional. it takes character.

    He has no awareness of what he has done, he is just worried of how people will view him from now on in life. Classic BB housemate personality.

    Stop complaining about sexism, it's not a 'sex' thing, the only reason he's out is because he scared Hazel, he didn't offend her, he SCARED her. She felt scared and that's why he's out.

    they were both in the wrong but it does not mean a man should threaten and lay a finger on a woman like that, Ultimately the wrong doing is Daley's behavior there are no excuses for treating a woman that way.

    Atleast he's actually apologising for what he did, he knows it was wrong & he admit it infront of everyone.. I agree that BOTH of them should have either got formal warnings or been kicked out, this is unfair..

  • @MurkageHump
    @MurkageHump 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    No it's not a sex thing, the reason Daley was kicked out wasn't sexist, pulling someone's short off in the dark isn't as bad as scaring someone when you're alone in a room... we didn't see any genitals it was that dark, if we saw and Daley confirm that was a 'Scary' experience for him then perhaps she would've been kicked out too.

    Also there was no need at all for her to pull his pants down he got the message across to her that he was tired, she knew he was drunk but he even said that he wanted to go to bed but she started playing games and knew he'd flip or step out of line bcos he had too much to drink but he took responsibility and she doesn't deserve to be in the house bcos she's making out that he's some kind of dangerous phyco

    It seems that he still has no idea that what he did was wrong, He is reading from a 'damage limitation' script at the beginning until he started to refer back to his issues which he so obviously has concerning women.
    Hazel, she was over the top with her flirting but it did NOT warrant being held down by the throat & threatened in ANYones books!
    Anger management needed here and Hazel should be careful with her flirting!
    Very messed up people

    Emma: "it takes two to tango" If that's the case, do all battered women deserve to be threatened just because they flirt? I feel sick that a woman is condoning his behaviour. Sick. This idiot is just full of excuses. He has absolutely no reason to dislike Hazel, poor girl dealt with the situation as best she could. The fact that so many people are saying that she deserved it, makes me sick. It's this bullsh!t that wrong with the world and makes other men think they can treat women this way.

    Does anyone else remember when Gina was going to lose the house their luxury shopping budget over not being allowed to drink her cider and Daley said that he was the dog and she was the cow and he'd round her up then went on to say that she would be so scared she'd pee herself but she'd get her in the jail? That was the first time I realized Daley is quiet because he has serious issues.
