Hey man at around 11:00, The DOOM song is called "Can I Watch?" not "Let Me Watch". I don't know if this is fixable but if it isn't I'll just delete this comment and I don't think anybody will notice
24:54 was also used by Kanye West song Drive Slow featuring Paul Wall and GLC. But T.I. was on the remix but it was on his bonus cd with the video on the King dual disc album.
This goes to show Premo really is the master of the clever flip. Reks - Say Goodnight and AZ - The Format are standouts for me I love how he dropped those samples in
It's so good to hear and watch a collection of gems like these all together. I've been doing the same by myself for 20 years (just using my ears) but all my efforts were vain compared to what other people could do on the web. I love this stuff so much, so thank you for sharing and caring.
I was 13 and 14 crate-digging in the early 2000s now there's track Lib. That feeling is gone now that they're tightening up on sample usage in these recent years but I remember finding old vinyls and CDs and sampling things and it was the best vibe. I also appreciate track lib because they kind of play as the middleman instead of producers having to reach out to a record label for permission to sample a piece of music. But also with that being said, it's cool to flip a sample different ways but then a lot of people have heard that sample and sometimes people just want to find and sample rare and hard-to-find, crazy records that never released to the public. I know track Lib doesn't have ALL the samples..but it's an ever growing platform so¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but it's still cool though.
Fuck it man, I still dig through my grandpa's crates, find the music on TH-cam, convert it to MP3, and sample it. I sample whatever I want, fuck the cops.
🔥🔥🔥 BIG BIG BIG SALUTE 🔥🔥🔥 Man this is one of the best music videos made 💯 Had to subscribe. If you love music/art History you'll love this . Producer, Artists, Listener, Creator etc... This thing moves you!!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 AMAZING JOB!!! This made me remember why I feel in love with music 💯. 🙏🏽
16:54 Holy hell, as much as I listened to both "She's Homeless" and "Why You Wanna," I never put two and two together to realized "She's Homeless" was essentially slowed down. No wonder I like both so much, practically the same beat!🤣
Beginning and end tracks are my own productions. You can download my mini album for free including that track on Bandcamp djfurio.bandcamp.com/releases
Wow that Gangstar battle joint I've never heard but the sample they used was used by Curren$y (just a feature) Fly Monsters. Damn I gotta come back for that

It'd be awesome if the producer of the beat was included in the title for each track!
Yea

@@icebergo6 I agree ! If you put in work ,, the reward is larger
I’m working on a new video where I’m including the producer of each track

The game is to try to guess the artist/song/producer before the original sample finishes!
I was already on it.
so happy to see MF Doom featured frequently on here
DJ Premier, Rza, and Pete Rock, and The Beatnuts have been some of my favorite producers since the 90’s.
Don't ever forget the Extra Large Professor
Word up! Extra P is criminally underrated.
Beatnut samples are some of the best all time.
21:48 We got King Ghidra on the boards with that golden souuuuund
6:17 This is also a sample of the song Friends by Whodini in 1984. I know you can't put both in the video, so I am adding it to the comments!
I love how Q-Tip used that sample for “Gettin’ Up” …he sped it up just perfectly. Not too fast. Also, the 2000s were prime Kanye production.
amazing job compiling these. I hope you can do a compilation of RZA's beats, now thats a catalogue.
That’s crazy that you’ve said that as that’s next on the list 👍

1:08 I really thought they used the sample from Dawn Of The Dead(1978). It’s a song that plays when they’re ice skating in the rink in the mall.
Wale had that Friends & Strangers sample as well
Didn’t know that’s where “Made You Look” came from!!! It’s sounds even harder now!!!!
Glad you found a new sample. I’ve made a lot of sample videos on my channel if you’re interested.
Amazing list
Thanks for watching
tick tock appreciated love it
12:45 In The Panchine an old italian rap group take The Alchemist beat for make theire song called 13pm

@@DJFurio most definite ✌🙏🎶💯
“Invincible” the best beat there by far 🥶

Let’s admit…..
DJ Premier got an ear 👂🏻
Legend! Subbed and Liked!

YESSSSSSSSSS
Yeah some need no tag because their sound is unmistakenly but for the obscure ones, definitely.
No The Blueprint samples for 2001 ?????
That's what im sayin
Wow that Gangstar battle joint I've never heard but the sample they used was used by Curren$y (just a feature) Fly Monsters. Damn I gotta come back for that

I think it's safe to say Premo is the greatest sampler of all-time. (I'd also say Alchemist, Kanye, RZA and The Bomb Squad round out the Top 5...)
... And J-Dilla would be #6, of course.
long live jay dee

Yeah Preemo really created some amazing beats for their tracks.
Preemo is the king of sampling also!
