Sometimes I feel like the only person in the world who appreciates how fucking incredible Yeseo is when I see the view count on her music. Such a shame that so many other people are missing out on this absolute genius. Honestly, if a major label American artist sang this exact song, it would be a fucking #1 hit.
beeceebee1 I believe actually the genre is not much on most people such as k pop. Electronic music is just focus on not many of People. its still strange for us maybe getting better with familiar view in Korea but the most important reason, I think, she has no any management related yet because she doesn't want to be disturbed her own music from the people or manegement who have different points. the media Noisey from UK expected to be a famous person in music.
The real reason is that she's 100% DIY and independent; she writes, records, produces, and even mixes and masters all of her own music and then releases it with the help of independent labels. She did one promotional single with SM Entertainment that did about what you'd expect a rising star's debut single to do, but then went back to indie labels for DAMN RULES. This goes for all artists anywhere though: if they're not on a major label, they're not going to be popular. That's just how it works. You need marketing to get popular. Indie labels don't have the means to do widespread marketing. In an ideal situation, I personally would love to see YESEO go full on major label and achieve popularity while maintaining the integrity of her DIY ethics, but I just don't see that happening, mostly because she faithfully sticks to those ethics.
