The Bitcoin industry is assisting these scammers who may not be in the country. And why didn't her bank question her about what the money was for!!!???
the scammers coach them on how to talk to the banks.. they basically tell them what to say, what to do, and not to hang up the phone and threaten them with arrest, foreclosure and/or whatever they think will do the trick
That's like say a fork made you fat, or if car makers would just stop making cars we wouldn't have drunk drivers... Yes it can be used nefariously but so can lots of things

The community needs its elders and mature adults to set an example, if you call police all they do is arrest young adults that will spend most their life in jail. People need to be selfless and turn their family members that are bad into police and get them off the streets.
