Good stuff, phone turns on, waiting for display to be bond properly to the main case. Did a poor job with the adhesive, so I gotta clean that up. Also broke the backglass, so waiting for cheap battery case.
Brilliant video thank you. I have replaced my screen but every few days the screen just goes unresponsive for no apparent reason and I have to take it apart and disconnect the battery and re connect it and then it works fine again. Do you know why this might be happening? Thank you!

Nice video my phone won't charge now so can't boot up. Took apart and reconnected every with new battery same problem. Screen shows red battery symbol when removing charger cable but nothing when on charge. 😢
Great work bro, i dropped an alternator on my p30, it just clipped the corner, it cracked the screen, it was ok for a few weeks but it apparent now its buggered the phone up, do you think a screen replacement would fix it

Very nice video, one of the best I have seen so far. Unfortunately I botched my screen repair and the new display is not coming up. I do hear a short vibrate on power up. Any tips besides rechecking all connections?
Disconnect the battery and reconnect and see if there is a luck

Phone booted up correctly in the morning after being on the charger all night. Doesn't boot up after a restart, but boots up again after being on the charger for a couple of hours. Going to replace flex cable and NFC/wireless charging coil to hopefully fix this as the battery seems fine. Thanks again for the video.

I had one with Frame, forgot that it is glued on already, but i had to take out all components and place them in the new one not just some.
Now my fingerprint does not work, what could that be?
I have other problems but these are cus noob. I disasembled two phones, my old one i wanted to use just as a webcam, nice cameras but broken screen. First i got a screen for that but the one in use also cracked a bit, so i wanted to switch the half cracked to the other.
I fitted everything together, all parts from the old in the new frame. Wanted to connect the sim and charger connector and realized both almost whole pins were stuck at the connector (probably from too much heat losened the soddering).
So i took the other motherboard and connector from the other phone. Sadly now i have only one and also the touchsensor thinks there is always touch.
you omitted the step of peel off the protective inside plastic on the screen including the triangle shaped cover over the fingerprint reader. Really messed me up and I ended up having to buy another screen

And also how can I check if it is the original camera with opening the device, I have an app that tells me my specs and it's the same has the original, but I'm not sure if the app it's telling my actual specs or my original specs if in fact the camera has been changed
When removing screen the contact strip at bottom with gold connecters has also came off frame what do they do ?
done everything exactly like in the movie (was replacing frameless screen so only first part of screws removed, not disconecting antennas and stuff needed to replace frame) and after connecting new screen, batter and all cables i canno't switch on phone. i'm holding button and phone not reacting. where could i made mistake?
Changed the screen thanks to your guide, but the earpiece now has crackly distorted sound.. When i removed the old screen, that black plate (earpiece membrane i suppose) was sticked to the back of the screen. I removed it and placed carefully in the hole in the middle frame like you did.. But the sound is very bad! Do you have any suggestion?
2 things might have happened
1: if the screen was completely smashed and you were unable to check the earpiece, it might have damaged when it got hit.
2: earpiece have 2 parts(housing & coil inside) and it’s easy to pull just 1 side of housing and if it happens coil gets damage, because the coil is stick to both sides of housing.
In both case you will have to replace the earpiece.

How do u install the earpiece speaker on a screen with a frame? Like the ones on Aliexpress come without the earpiece speaker installed and u have to use ur old one?

sorry if this is a silly question, but the thermal paste on my p30 pro looks old/Dry can i replace it with regular arctic mx4 thermal paste?
Anything is better than old dried past, although mx4 is good.
hello I have a question, why is it needed to remove all components if we are just changing the display screen with no frame? shouldn't we just remove the battery and plug the new display?

When you put the back cover in place again, doesn't it need glue too?
Yes, you need to stick it with glue or adhesive.

I think you need to take everything out so you can disconnect the lcd from the board.
Questions. Why do you have to remove the speaker and charing port below when your just replacing lcd?

At the point where u start removing unnecessary parts for one of the types of screens it would have been a great heads up . I followed your video and yes it worked but upon assembling I realised I had removed stuff I didnt need to

You DIDN'T show the framed method, but that is covered in the Witrigs vid anyway tho they are said to be Chinese scammers posing as US-based.
This video is without framed LCD replacement, which more harder and time consuming job. And if you watch this video completely, you would be able to replace with frame LCD and without frame.
@@SoftSolutionsRepairsUK Well, it wasn't clear to me from that how I would do the framed version -- tho I'm not a techie. But the Witrigs vid makes this clear tho ironically they then do a speeded up version for the frameless method, using arrows and pics of scissors etc (as if you should refer back to the previous method). So that is not clear either. There's a vid of some Turkish specialist taking over 20 mins and using more tools and precautions including a dust-dispeller thing and adjustable clamps for the final sealing of the two halves. All very intense. Channel is called something like Iletisim -- which makes me feel like I have dyslexia when I never have in over 50 years . . .
Another point: how might one come across Huawei P30 Pro 'service pack'? I can only find ebay stuff, whether 'oem' or not. And i think 'oem' is used by Chinese fakers to deceive. Witrigs sells the P30 Pro OLED/LCDs but people are saying their OEMs are actually Chinese fakes along with the 'custom' ones they sell which are STATED to be non-oem. As clear as mud -- make that a flashing green P30 Pro screen that got dropped from a trivial height that an iphone would take in its stride and possibly even without a case . . .
i followed all the instruction after replacing the screen, the touch not working, fingerprint not working only top part of the screen is little responsive not middle and bottom. any help ?
Disconnect and reconnect it back, try cleaning touch connector with isopropyl alcohol. If no luck, contact the supplier you bought the part from.
@@SoftSolutionsRepairsUK did it disconnect the battery and display then reconnect it again and now I have green half screen. I have to bring it to the professional 😪
Send the fault display back to where you bought from.

You might have damaged it, while removing the speaker.
Its not vibrator.its speaker no?
And you don't explain how to get the temperature right or even mention the tool for this (even tho you can be seen to be using it)
If you watch my other videos, tools has been told in some of those, so keeping the video short I don’t show and explain tools as I explain them while repairing.
