@@WhiskeyWars This is yet another bottle that the hype doesn't live up to! It's simply amazing! Deep, quintessential bourbon flavors! The Russell's Reserve Single Barrel will finally have a rival! I might have to try a flavor comparison at some point in time. For now, thanks for the info on this, and Cheers!
Great list. Appreciate seeing a dedicated video on picks. I want to get into more picks this year. I’ve seen a lot of those Ezra Brooks cask strength picks. Is that sourced whiskey?
So it hard to say at this point . I have had Cask Strength picks before and they were better than this one . Also the profile seems to have changed . It use to be Heaven Hill sourced . Although I can not say for certain , I believe Lux Row is using their own distillate now . That said , it's pretty good . Hope you find some great picks this year . Keep these brands in mind when looking . They do some good stuff . Cheers 🥃
Two of my favorites this year were an Elijah Craig BP and Ezra Brooks Cask Strength from a local liquor store. I also had a Blue Note Juke Joint Unfiltered Uncut from the same store that was fantastic.
That bottle is so stinkin good. Really hoping that my Total Wine still has some sitting around . Thank you for all your help this year brother , very much appreciated . Cheers 🥃
For me, store picks are the best way to buy single barrel whiskey, and the store or group doing the pick matters a lot. For anyone in the South East Texas area, Longhorn Liquor in Beaumont always has great store picks,... but they go quick.
Yah know , you would think being in the Bourbon mecca of the world that there be tons of local stores with great picks all around me . Unfortunately I have yet to find one . I have to rely on the big boys Liquor Barn and Total Wine for good picks . Thankfully they do great picks .
Great list Sean, yes I can confirm single barrels from Lux row are outstanding, especially for their low price. I haven't gotten to try a pick from Nancy before but hopefully I get to in the future. Cheers 🇺🇸 🥃
Picks really do depend on the person or persons picking them . I tried a Russell's Single Barrel pick today at a local store that was crap . Regular old 101 is better and I generally love Russell's picks . The hard part with picks , is finding a store or group that does good ones . Good luck finding some better picks this year 🥃
Hello Me , I agree with these picks !
Can confirm! That Russell’s pick is next level. I’m going to blind it against the 13 & a regular off the shelf RR. Will report back 🤘
Awesome man , can't wait to hear about it . Shane is awesome for getting those to everyone . Cheers brother 🥃
@@WhiskeyWars He’s a true Bourbon Santa Claus 🎅 🍆#LordShlong
@@shredward666 - Haha , for sure
Love Driftless Glen! Really good!
One of my favorite Ryes this year . Killer pick that I got from Jon . Definitely gotta get my hands on another .
I've just picked up an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, batch C 922 yesterday (1/12/23). Going for a cork pop tomorrow during the NFL Wild Card games.
Nice , that bottle is a hitter .

Sounds like some good stuff Mike . Cheers to yah 🥃
Was surprised with you're number 1 pick. Thanks for sharing. Watching all you're top of 2022 video's today. Great video's. Cheers brother.
Thanks man , glad you are enjoying them . Yeah man , that ECBP pick is ridiculous good . Cheers 🥃
Fantastic whiskey right there! Folks definitely should try those American Single Malts.

Very cool list. Love that Ezra and the Driftless Glenn Rye, probably two of the best Whiskeys I have ever tried at cask strength. Cheers bud!
Man that Driftless Glen pick is ridiculous good . Definitely be on the look out for those picks .

Those Still Austin Cask Strengths are freakin killing . Hopefully their distribution grows in the coming year . Cheers to yah Mark 🥃
Wow, I have a DG Rye store pick and I don't like it. I hope it's just my weird ignorant pallet. It was an old grocery store pick, soo 🤷.
