The song of Ayre and Raven fencing against a massive enemy, Contact With You is so meaningful, when you realize that it wasn't meant for Balteus, but for Raven and Ayre meeting up, for the first time and having their first battle together
@@spawn2021g well, yeah, but people are not really ascribing any meaning to it when they call it the Balteus theme-they're just calling it that because it's the theme that plays when you fight Balteus and they don't know the actual name in the OST.
Played armor core VI at a friend house. It’s so cinematic. Having a QB rush through missiles while you’re going for the final strike is such a feeling.
I'm fond of this theme because it plays for really the most pivotal moment of the game, making contact with Ayre. Suddenly there's something in your life that exists outside the cold calculus of mercenary work and if you use your brain a little this is where you'd realize coral is something more than just a resource.
I finished the game last night right as the clock ticked over... beating AC6 was the first thing I did at 18. I have no regrets. What a crazy, immensely hard, powerful, kickass, vibrant, immersive, emotional game... it still doesn't beat Elden Ring in "atmosphere" and gameplay, but it doesn't have to, AC6 is a different beast. Elden Ring is about the rise of a king. AC6 is about the retribution of a sinner... and the honor of a friendship.

Bassteus!!! Glad to see your talents reach other franchises. And I feel like the Armored Core franchise might feel right at home with your style. Such an outstanding arrangement
I will say the biggest challenge with synth remixes of older AC games is the early games are already techy synth, the later games have lyrics which can be hard to translate to synth. Still would be very cool!
"Contact With You"... a beautiful and extremely emotional piece, especially at the 4:25 mark. It's pretty clear that the name of the track relates to the "Contact" between 621 and Ayre, and considering the fact that it plays when you first make your Contact with her (aka. the Balteus bossfight) and in the mission where you take down the Xylem, having put your full faith and trust in her... It paints all picture of a very intemate and meaningful relationship between these two, 621 and Ayre.
It is a very poignant choice for their first contact to be against such a filter of a boss. No matter how hard it gets, the two of you are with each other, and Ayre believes you can do it
@@gundam7463 Technically, she's right. Even way before you fight one another. There's another dialogue where she said along the lines of "Are we starting a conflict.... everywhere we go?" Or something like that.

I know that this game's OST (and more specifically this song) has no choirs because it's thematically fitting. Balteus is an AI; lacks humanity, so the song has no human voices. but in this version's second phase, when those choirs came in, MAN it's just a mix of beauty, awe, tension and powery
If the soundtrack of 6 ends up being moddable, I think this belongs in the Balteus fight in the game. It almost feels like a completed version of that theme, the original feels almost pale in comparison. That takes some insane skill on your part.
holy hell, i dont know anything about armored core, but i am sitting here in cold goosebumps listening to this. magnificent. i dont know what else to say. edit: i found something else to say in the meantime: this was exactly what i needed today.
The song has many many layers to it, even the original one. This song plays twice during the game, and it is both when you first meet with an important character, and when you decide to take that important character's side to do the right thing. The song features a lot of sounds from the older Armored core games, third and second generation ones. Which started the trend of your operator being your emotional backbone and support to your otherwise silent character. This important character is a mirror to them. Even when this song plays first during a boss fight, it isn't that boss fight's song, it's your song. It's a fantastic game that disguises itself as HAHA GIANT ROBOTS and hits you right in the emotions and feels.
Got the game for christmas. Finally played all three playthroughs. It's time to dig into these. Edit: I see I'm in for yet another masterwork. You didn't miss.
It is quite rare when I believe that an arrangement of a song can supplant the original in it's entirety, but damn this is making a really good argument for it. It takes what I loved in the original song, the oppressive reign of bass and metallic grind as BALTEUS just hammers you into sparks, the pulse pounding rhythm, and the almost alien feeling as 621 adjusts to hearing and being supported by Ayre and elevates it. The addition of the choir in the final part almost makes it feel like a call, to rise up and fight for a future you believe in, even as all looks bleak. All in all, this is a fantastic song and I look forward to hear what you can do with the rest of AC6's soundtrack. Some of them feel like they would be perfect for this level of care and skill, like Steel Haze (Rusted Pride), The Man Who Burned it All / Passed the Torch, and Cries of Coral to name a few.

MY LIFE FOR AYRE
music that gives me an adrenaline rush is always great. 12/10
God I need an extension of this so badly, specially the part with the vocals
Absolutely amazing my man 💜
Wasn't expecting something like this to randomly show up in my recommended, but I am NOT complaining! This is awesome!
AC6, DS3 😭This is so awesome!!!
I'm going to buy a 1TB hard drive and put only your music.
Never stop making bangers.😁
I'm in awe not just from your remix. This art, by 'Kia The Elf', is wonderful. Well done on all parts.
I do kinda wish the OST was as heavy as this. It slaps dont get me wrong but damn would it feel even more badass like this
