    Very good George. My 4 years old NR tastes very bitter. This year I transplanted in ground from pot. Hope it will improve the taste next season. Cheers

    Your very lucky to grow this pommel variety because it’s very rare to come by in the United States. The nam roi tree variety is also very sweeter then other varieties next to quan chau. But I also love collecting citrus trees like yourself. I have five varieties myself, like “buoi da xanh, nam roi, tan trieu, quan chau and thong Dee”. My trees are still young and not as big as your trees though. But I just like pommels a lot because they are like a distant memory of my childhood from Vietnam. 😂

      Thanks for the info! The fragrance reminds me of SE Asia too!

    They are our favourite pummelo. The smell is amazing, such a delicate flavour. In fact Rachel asked me to plant one, and she usually rolls her eyes at me buying trees.

      @@griffinc3263 have you got one?
      Later down the track might steal a scion to put on. I didn't make the last stfc visit, will try to make next one.

    I also live in Melbourne & am thinking of getting one of these. Is this tree frost tolerant?

      In the suburbs, fine. However not on the ranges where snow collects.

    Nice video. Many pamelo fruitlets but I doubt you would get many fruits, the tree structure too small to support many large fruits. Hope I'm wrong though.

    • @RealLifeFruitopia
      @RealLifeFruitopia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you are right, most fruitlets will drop. I'm happy with 5-10 fruit whilst it's a small tree.

      We have many Asians in our city who would be very interested in organic tree ripened pomelo :)
