- China's President Xi held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris. Macron asked him to accept fair global trade rules. In an earlier meeting, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen called on Xi to use Beijing's influence to halt Russian's war in Ukraine.

He's wrong when the capacity of lifetime Chinese ownership per total EVs production is proven to be the lowest amongst G7 countries. Europe can reserve a quota for Chinese EVs and let market demand vs supply to set out the fair price. Problem solved.

Overcapacity is the result of heavy government subsidization up and down key industrial supply chains. This is the real problem - China is nowhere near being a free market economy for goods the CPP deems strategic.

It seems Europe lacks independent political thinking. Speeding into the fast lane of a hot war isn't the only option. President Xi is embarking on a journey to Europe with the hope of preventing a global hot war. Unfortunately, European political discourse still leans towards supporting war, even to the extent of actively participating in it.
Without China Support Russia would not be able to wage this long war.....Same thing can be said that without West support Ukraine would not last a week in the war...
