4:48 I can't even be mad because I was that guy saying "wow a fiero! My dad had one when I was a kid. That car made me a car guy". Now every autozone trip or gas refill turns into a strangers 30 min talk about memory lane. Only exception is when someone has their kid with them. They get to sit in it, start it, flip the headlights, look at the old manual while I tell dad to let them tear apart old lawnmowers. How else are we still gonna have pontiac enthusiasts in 20 years
Bought mine sight unseen a month or two ago Havent got too drive it too the gas station yet but there awsome!!!! In the short time iv been able too drive around the neighborhood i love it!!!
Many things wrong here. All top panels (bonnet, top, decklid) are fiber glass. All lower panels are Enduroflex. Only 1984 models had fire issues. A power steering unit would not "add another pipe" underneath. The V6 GT's were a much better car and much faster. I also take my 86 Fiero GT to a mechanic. They are not difficult to work on.
Here is a lesson. Don’t buy 40 year old cars that were not cared for. Spend a bit more and get a low Mike car cheap that was cared for and 905 of the issues go away. Mike is 39 years old V6 and still a dream to drive. I take it to shows and compete against many more expensive cars and generally beat them. As for engine swap. I bought a C5. It is fun to drive and comfortable and reliable. But I hate some Corvette people so I claim to be a Pontiac guy who owns a Corvette too.
@@TreadDepthChannel Cool! Nice vid on the Fiero too, glad it hasn’t caught on fire on you. Would be cool to see it haul ass with a 3800 in it for how light it is. Keep up the good work.

Youre the problem! 😂
@ yes I am
Currently in the middle of putting a 3800 in a 86 gt I bought that had no motor. I hope to drive it sometime soon. I know I’d watch if you did a swap
Im trying to find the motivation 🤪
Bought my GT new in March of 1988. Never selling it.
The legend.

Other fun fact is most burn from the blower resistor rather than the engine
THE fires were caused from GM giving the Iron Pike 2.5 motor an oil pan with a 1 quart too low.
This is the cool type of insanity. Based.
You should have seen my last one

Its ugly, but functional
