Judgement and Punishment one take !!!
And who’s gonna be the one 😮💨
Time for a little Reggae! Judgement and Punishment!
Who Is Gonna Be the One Live from Kyiv, please!
Well this is actually footage from three live performances put together with the studio version of the song but there is a live version (live in Melbourne). She does do the growl just as well live but you would need to see one of the official live versions.
She's using the false vocal folds rather than her actual vocal chords for the growls. The false chords extend over your actual vocal chords when you swallow to help keep food from going down the wrong way. Singers who do this technique learn to control those otherwise involuntary muscles to make sounds. They don't have a pitch like the vocal chords have and the vocal chords aren't used at all unless she wants to use them to make a different sound but that's why she can switch from one to another like that and not damage her voice. It's two different systems. Having said that the technique is extremely hard to learn and if done wrong you can think you are using the false chords but actually you are damaging your vocal chords. She is also arguably better at the technique than most.
There are mosh pits as you saw here and there are circle pits. You usually see circle pits in Europe. With a circle pit people aren't running at each other they are running in a circle. A few of those show up in Jinjer videos like Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air and Captain Clock Live at Resurrection Fest.
That beat you heard was a "blast beat" common in some metal genres. The drummer is doing eighth notes or faster with one hand on the snare and following that with his other hand on a cymbal and his feet on the kick drum.
👍
The Judgment and Punishment one take video is phenomenal. Tatiana is amazing! You're going to love it.
I agree with many of your commentators here, you need to react to "Judgement and Punishment" (One take Vocal Performance). To answer your question, I love Tatiana's soulful jazzy voice. I wish she would do an Amy Winehouse cover. Don't forget to give love to the band. Good reaction. (Subbed)
She sings "slapping" rather than "stabbing." Corporal punishment in school is still a bad thing, but unfortunately a not uncommon thing. "Stabbing" would be freaky, I agree.
At the end of the video that’s called the wall of death. It’s a rush like no other.
I’m hoping you keep going down this rabbit hole. Jinjer is an amazing band. Perennial live at Wacken (pronounced with the w sounding like a v) is one of my favorite live performances I’ve ever seen, or if you want a more focused video of Tatiana’s vocal then check out Judgement and Punishment one take. 🤘🏻
Wall of death is crazy!! I’ll add the PVW word song one to the list
I've been in many Walls of Death. It's a rush. Everyone is looking around because everyone knows. You're either smiling or or grrrrr! It's big fun!
@@DonVon
Look into Lamb of God for a true wall of death. =P
Mosh pits vary, hardcore stuff, people do kung fu, which is frowned upon.
A good metal pit, people look out for one another, someone one falls down, people protect them until they get back up.
From the outside, mosh pits seem violent, but they're actually not. Everyone is collectively expressing the music as a group and there's an understanding of safety that everyone is trying to maintain. When someone falls down, there'll be an immediate hand to pick them back up. If someone gets hurt, pit members will protect them from getting trampled, and will tend to them with whatever is needed. The violent arm swinging idiots tend to get stopped by pit members and kicked out. Sometimes a 1 on 1 confrontation to stop someone turns into 20 on 1 stopping them real quick.
There's no Kung fu in a mosh pit. Period.
If you're in a pit to hurt others...well...like you said.
Otherwise, metal fans know, we're there for the fun. Help your metal friends.
Judgement and Punishment one take.
Perrenial live
I Speak Astronomy music video
On this video the music is from the studio and the concert sceans are from three diffrent concerts. My suggestion is to watch Perennial live at wacken then Tati's live one take video Judgement and punishment and hear what reggae and metal sounds like together !!
I love both vocals ❤ its yin and yang ☯️ for me. Cant have one without the other. Great reaction as always!
Another great reaction. To shed some light on your questions. Jinjer is about contrast in their music and the more you hear the more this will stand out. It is not hard to see Tatiana as a singer that could have only sang or only growled, but her ability to do both at such high levels is what is truly special. Honestly, this vocal contrast is key in their music and would not be the same w/o it. The boys in the band are just as talented although they are often eclipsed by the initial shock value. All of them work in harmony w/o ego to create complete & balanced songs. The post chorus breakdowns are called blast beats (syncopated bass, guitar, + drum triplets) and are common in many metal genres. The mosh pit variation shown is called the Wall of Death. Her false chord growl does not shred her chords as she does not involve the true vocal folds. The mic does most of the work, hence you will see her "eating the mic". Lastly this was not a true live from them. Check out "Perennial" live at Wacken and "Judgement and Punishment" one take
Both clean and dirty vocals are amazing and the contrast helps make it special. So a cannae decide betwixt the twa.
Next stop parennial live at wacken 2019 🎉❤😮
Slapping not stabbing a sinful child...
Great reaction to this Jinjer track, thank you. The whole band is so talented, but Tatiana is a great front woman. Tracks the check out by them are:
'Perennial' live at Wacken Open Air Festival from 2019,
'Judgement (and Punishment)' Tatiana's One-Take Vocal version,
'Vortex' the official music video,
'On The Top' and 'Pit of Consciousness' both live in Kiev,
'I Speak Astronomy' the official music video,
'Who Is Going to be The One' live,
'Just Another' live,
'Home Back' the official music video.
There are plenty of other tracks but these are good ones to start with.
Good ole wall of death at the end, great reaction.
This is the correct answer. Wall of death for the finale.
Vortex is a wild ride. You will not be disappointed.
Slapping this sinful child....not stabbing 😅
Ever since I discovered metal in middle school, I've always been pulled toward duality and contrast in my music. So I can't pick between cleans and harshes, I like them both and the songs I like the most have both in them. I like the duality of energies, whether that's from one amazingly diverse vocalist like Tati or from bands that just have a singer and a growler in them. One of the things I like most about Jinjer is that they remind me of bands like Lacuna Coil from back in the day (though obviously much heavier and more modern).
you're falling into a cool universe man
When they separate everyone and they run together on a drop like that it's called a Wall of Death. No one gets hurt (usually) there are unspoken rules, if someone falls down or something people help them up.
How!?! How nobody gets hurt? Lol
Went to Vegas to see Jinjer in 2021. Band before Jinjer had wall of death and one girl came out of it with a bloody nose. In most cases we all look out for each other. It is what it is.🤘 @@DonVon
@@johnnorton971 madness!
Metal fans are the kindest people and we’re there to have fun! The music is aggressive but it’s nothing but love
Metal is the ultimate protest music! A way to throw back your head and roar at the injustices of the world, raise your fist in defiance. But it's not about violence. We're all brothers and sisters in this rat race. We're screaming together, not at each other. Mosh pits look dangerous, but we look out for each other.
The blast beats are a special drumming technique using push pull for drumsticks hitting alternating skin and rim of the snare,by alternating the double kick drum you can have 4 beats within one beat (quadruplets) like triplets. Supported by fast licks of the bass plus the chord runs on the guitar you have quite an effect.
🤘🇺🇦🤘
She said slapping not stabbing :)
Her voice reminds me of Gwen Stefani's voice from when she was in No Doubt. Great voice.
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦💪💪💪
Tatiana and the entire band is so incredibly talented.
JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance
There is no liking one of her voices better. The fact she can do both so well is what makes her so different from everything else out there. Why would I want to listen to more people that sound just like everyone else I've already heard before?
I LIKE the singing voice more (if money was all she cared about, she could be a great pop singer, but that's clearly not her...). But I'm more IMPRESSED by her demon voice ;)
*I think you're confused...Jinjer IS the band. Her name is Tatinana. Plus....they are from Ukraine*
"slapping, slapping". Not stabbing. 😂😂 Geez dude wheres your head
I seen her live last month and the show was so cool seriously you have to go the energy is insane live the pit is crazy as well and the fans suepr love eachother a lot tons of people hugging and jumping around.
And finally the second reaction! And great again. "Judgement and Punishment (one take vocal performance)" should be third. When they do in the mosh pit at the end is called "wall of death" and it is not what happens in pits most of the time.
4:59 That's called "blast beat" . It is a signature sound of more extreme metal music. (f.i. Carcass - Heartwork) . Also 66Samus has an excellent video explaining it -> th-cam.com/video/B4KNXi-SWWc/w-d-xo.html
If you do the harsh vocals right, like she does, it doesn’t really do any damage or effect your ability to sing or speak. You use different parts of your anatomy to make the sounds, like vestibule or false folds, along with vocal fry techniques that can be used for safe distortion.

It is not growl vs clear, it´s the combination which makes it so unique!
Still dreaming of a Duo with Courtney from Spiritbox on some music from Septicflesh!
Like your reaktion...so many blblabla oh amaising reaktion 😢.....open for Premium real rap??start the AK jurney iamtherealak 16jear old kills Panda 🐼 remix after this all remixes from AK he kills all stupid original...🎉😂
As a metal vocalist, my voice is fine before and after a show. Just do it right and your fine ez pz. Awesome reaction btw.
I love both the growling and the sweetness. She's phenomenal 😍 and I love that she's outspoken about religious indoctrination. The religious are not to be trusted.
there is no "official" terminology for the different styles/forms for a mosh pit, but Ive heard "the crowd rush", "slam", 'attack", "charge"... etc etc.
ive always just considered it *ALL* moshing, putting a descriptor on it takes away from its rawness.
some things... just should not be defined or tamed.
Those are called BLAST BEATS!!!!
Man!!
The rush if drumming you're referring to is called a blast beat.
If you love Jinger, you should definitely check out Vintersea. To me, their best video is the Slay at Home performance as it's live.
Which vocal style do I prefer? It's like asking whether I prefer the pattie or the bun - you need both to make a burger! Fish or chips? Curry or paratha? Mac or cheese? All indivisible my friend.
Mediator and Pit of Conciousness are next level from them, though most of their songs are bangers
gutturals are done with the "false vocal cords" (ventricular bands), if you do gutturals with your vocal cords you damage them, (as any person who screams does), that's why you have to do them with the ventricular bands, which is not easy to do, it is a technique that can take many years to learn, like any vocal technique.
For your own enjoyment (or do a vlog about it), pick a random band you've reacted to and just go to a show. Its a great experience. 80% of people there aren't moshing or anything. But those that want to are able to. Often people smaller than you lol. And its not about violence, its controlled release of energy. If people fall down generally others look out for them and make sure they're cool.... and then shove em back in lol. But you can stand in the back with a drink and be like a lot of other people there just wanting to see a show. I'd recommend a show at a small venue (not the basketball arenas and whatnot).
Mosh Pit standard people playing bumper cars with flesh at the beggining
Circle pit run around in a circle
Wall of Death is the one at the end
Corpse Flower Jinjer Waken Perrenial Arch Enemy Handshake With Hell also happens
Zombie Wall Caninbal Corpse Cerements of The flayed
Monsters Ball by Butcher Babies those girls are wild
Tatianna is the full package, can't get get one voice without the others
Why can't we enjoy Tati's entire vocal abilities! 🤘❤🤘
That mosh pit moment your talking about is called a wall of death. Normally done at the beginning of a heavy song, or right after a calm bridge... for a great example(and a good song recommendation) check out Epica - Consign to Oblivion live at Zenith
To awnser your question of which voice I like best is YES😂😂😂 that's called a wall of death when the 2 sides run at each other.
Just remember they are from the Ukraine so English is not her native language.
It's not about what you prefer when it comes to Jinjer , it's thier whole style that you either like or you don't.
Hi, why don't you react a song from a viewer from a change?
I suspiciously and conveniently propose my last song haha
In all seriousness it would be awesome if you do react to it
There's etiquette for mosh pits. What you saw was a wall of death. But nah, if you go into a pit and start swinging and throwing hands, you're gonna get jumped by like a dozen people and your ass is getting thrown out lol. The venue might even be courteous enough to call you an ambulance lol. You can push each other around and bump into each other, and yes you might accidentally catch a wayward elbow to the face now and again. But if you're stupid enough to throw hands, it's game on!
Brother man, you gotta experience a mosh pit at least once! It's a must!
If she left the show with any type of pain in her throat, then she did it wrong and in and unhealthy manner. Using your false folds does not cause any pain or damage. The Charismatic Voice did a video with a camera in Will Ramos throat to show you what's happening for these sounds. Everyone can make these noises with proper training. If she was damaging her vocal tract she would be unable to perform the next line. If you watch her do Judgement and Punishment in her one take, you can see her neck and throat is fully relaxed. If she was straining herself improperly, there would be visible stress on the outside we could all see. There is a lot of training for doing unclean vocals.
Blast beats thats what that is. Been to two of their shows. Freaking awesome and phenomenal show by her and the rest
She is too good at growling, so that one over her cleans.
That fast drumming is called blast beats. Very common in metal music
CHECK OUT JINJER PERENNIAL LIVE AT WACKEN
ITS THE LAST SONG OF THE SET & WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO. SHE TALKS JUST FINE AT THE END ONLY OUTTA BREATH.
OTHER VOCALS LIKE THIS: ARCH ENEMY: HANDSHAKE WITH HELL OR NITA STRAUSS: THE WOLF YOU FEED, FEAT ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ (CURRENT SINGER FOR ARCH ENEMY)
Fun fact about her vocals: she said once in an interview that she trained by screaming into her pillow as she grew up / lived in an apartment. So to not disturb the neighbors this was how she did it. I recall her saying too that the only studio they could use for training in the beginning was over an hour away by car. So she screamed a lot into that pillow 😅
Home Back, I speak astronomy videos are awesome
In your throat, you have your vocal cords which you talk and sing with. When doing a growl, you use what is called your false vocal cords, they are just above your vocal cords. When done correctly, it is no strain on the throat. Takes lots of control but does not hurt the throat when done properly.
She is Catholic actually she is married to the drummer of formerly At The Gates a chrisitan metalcore band who is now with Spiritbox. Also you don't use yout true fold for that sound you extend you larynx and let the air hit your soft pallet that area that connects your mouth and nose.
this a called a wall of death when they run at eaatch other, a moshpit they turn around bumping to on another
i think the lyrics speak for themselves and repression seems to be the theme to me. glad your on this train man.
It takes years to learn that singing technique and is completely harmless when you master it , how else do you think they manage to tour all year round ?
Those are blast beats you were asking about. I hear them a lot of times at small bars in my hometown that underground metal bands get wild
Who's gonna be the one live is an absolute beast!!!!
Never seen the wall of death before, now you have!
Check out sit stay roll over and scissors
She says Slapping not Stabbing
Her scream is called a vocal fry and she uses her false vocal chords.
“This life is not a prison, and you are not the warden”. Just love that line!
wall of death. It calls 'wall of death'
they tour for months at a time man, her skills are that good. 2:20 - 2:50 ha.
Which voice do I like better? Yes.
she said slapping this sinful child
Judgment and punishment is a must
Jinjer "vortex" is a great one
we like Jinjer................
Thats called “The Wall of Death”
Both cause she is perfect
Dude, the audio is not live

“Perennial” Live 🤘🏽🤘🏽Amongst the most Talented 4 people together as a whole and individually on the face of the earth! 🤘🏽🖤🤘🏽👊🏽👊🏽
You need to try Opeth... start with Ghost of Perdition (Live at Red Rocks)... they were a huge influence of Jinjer, particularly on the bass player
I absolutely love the fact that you are able to appreciate a different style of music other than what you're accustomed to. Welcome to the world of JINJER.
Don't be scared. Tatiana is actually the sweetest person you could ever meet. Met her in St Pete at a small show. She was amazing. We all love her! Oh and the boys are phenomenal
