One note, tighten just enough to stop the wobble, if you overtighten the pedals lose mobility and might damage the bearings.

Thank you for this video! I bought a partially assembled bike for my kid for Christmas. Once it was warmer and he was ready to ride, the pedals were loose. I had bought warranty but they referred me to Huffy. After much back and forth, they sent me a new pedal assembly and said to find a video. No luck. Came across your video that had the same problem and boy did it help. I fixed it!

Wished I known this sooner, this bicycle I bought at Academy was poorly assembled. I remember the front nuts being easily screwed off by hand and the seat being crooked. The crank got looser each day but I kept riding it, saw some ball bearings come out today...I mean, I will admit I weight 215 lbs so my big ass could have broken it lol! But I've owned many bikes, I remember a mongoose lasting me 5 years at same weight; but this bike broke in 4 months.

@@ReichpoloTech I went and looked at my wobbly crank on my bike and there is no outer bolt! Flea market bikes always have crazy defects! Now I know I gotta fix it :)

Before you fixed this, was there an issue with the pedals slipping forward when pedaling heavily? I'm trying to troubleshoot the problem on a beach cruiser, any help would be appreciated!

      Did you find anything

@@jaycritical1184 I haven't opened up the coaster brake assembly, but I have a working theory.... First you'll need to go on Google Images and search "coaster brake assembly diagram" (it also really helps if you understand how the drive mechanism on a coaster brake works). Notice that the clutch has grooves on it. My theory is: these grooves are either worn smooth or they have grease and dirt in them.
