One thing to get used to in Thailand is to ALWAYS call a business ahead of time and setup an appointment. On the day of the appointment, before heading out to the location, call again to confirm. Let them know you are on the way. Many businesses may have a lot of idle down time, so the owners may decide to simply leave at any given time to run errands or even close shop for the day.
Love your videos man! I used to live in Japan as a student and moved back to the fatherland (Holland) a couple of years ago. For about a year now I've been thinking about quitting my current job and moving to Thailand. Need some more adventure in my life 😉
you should do a vid on the air quality. emergency levels of dust, etc. in the air in bkk right now...schools are closed, work from home policies are being enforced.
Why. The major source is poor farmers who burn crops. They require education, low interest loans, and collaboration/coordination to maybe share some Farm Equipment
Definitely shop around and do Not be afraid to walk away when negotiating prices. Had electrical work done on a home paid 8000 baht. Did the other half and paid 5500 baht. Difference is I stayed out of sight and asked Thai girlfriend to negotiate a little. I provided all the supplies so I know they are quality materials. Watched the work and they were professional.
Hilux was my favorite there on the islands when i was little even 20 years ago ✌️ another cool pickup was from mazda with some kind of suicide doors at the back.
Adam !! KEISY !! Haha. Regular drops my man….. bloody loving it. How much damn fun are you having since being back in BKK ! It shows my man. Looking fwd to joining ya for some fun and beers in June ! COOKIE
good thing you got that car club to help you with shop recommendations. I can see the frustration getting to me for sure. I'm trying to lay some stepping stones with various connections so I can hopefully avoid some problems
So many times, I've gone to a business and wanted to transact, and for whatever reason they won't or it's impossible. My takeaways are don't stress and when you find a great business, make a yourself a valued customer. 99 times out of 100 it's worth it.
Following this one. I have a 97 Strada Mega Cab 2.8 I'm doing up that wrap is under half price of a respray in Udon. Ive got some nasty dings picked up by other people so I feel your pain. More truck vids pls 🙏😊
Cheers brother here freezing in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania USA realizing I should have took my trip to the Philippines now not October so now I'm on the grind to get not be here next winter for January February are death here it was --30c the last 2 nights lol
Great choice of color for the wrap and awesome to know that shop , most wraps are indeed between 20-30k bht so this is a steal . Where did you got your exhaust done ?
Was just about to comment while watching these scratches are all the more reason to get the car painted a new colour. A few seconds later I hear U say U going to get it wrapped. Ohhhh man can't wait to see it going to look 🔥 are custom plates a thing in Thailand like it is in Australia ?
If I owned a car out there, I'd have a 10 year old something that was already dented and scratched. As long as it's safe with good AC, that would be enough.
Just a heads up... your vehicle needs to be inspected once its 7 years old, before you pay your annual tax and compulsory insurance Just had mine done last weekend. Took only 10 minutes and cost about 250 baht. They checked the brakes, headlight alignment and used exhaust polution sensors on the tail pipe.
Yeah I used the agency people outside last time, cost me an extra few hundred baht but they did everything, my inspection took 45 seconds, they checked the colour and the engine number haha Yours pass all aright?
No real need for air with these unless you go insanely low, if I wanna go any lower in the read I need to cut and notch the back of the chassis.. but I like your ideas 😊
@@keisone I can imagine how you feel you can only driveit when your back in aus. I too had a AW11 gosh it handled like it was on rails until you start to loose it. Keep us up dated with all the mods the lowlux will look great with the dash on the back.
There was an internal lol for all of us who have spent time in Thailand......shop moved, followed by shop closed....sooooo Thailand! On the bright side, that wrap is going to transform that Lux into a sick mofo wagon! Cant wait to see it 🙂
Wow unlucky! I've been driving around BKK (and outside of it, but BKK is prob the highest risk) for a year and a half, and my experience is pretty similar, but nowhere near as bad as yours. Mine were just shopping center scratches that I just buffed out with a scratch removal cream thingy. Also hit a traffic cone in the middle of a highway once that was there for no reason at all while going at 100kmph 😅 but managed to mostly buff that out too... PS Where do you find the car mod places? I have a new-ish Honda City and it'd be cool to get some basic mods going on it
Yeah I almost hit a car battery once on my motorcycle that was in the middle of the road, no idea how TF it got there 🤣🤣 If you are buying and installing yourself, look online, shoppee or lazada, other things like wheels etc, check out marketplace
Hi Adam, this doesn’t have anything to do with your video sorry, but I am your subscriber for many years and love your videos, I am trying to find Dan’s new utube channel and I know your friends with him, can you please tell me his channel name, thanks 👍
Yea this is for everything. They dont respect time. So its a reason why they stay poor. I talk to so many about this and every time they say they want to make money. But action speak louder then words.

Good honest vlog. Thanks for taking us along.
It is important to have nice friends that can assist when you need help.
you have to do a registration of the new color in your blue car book, to avoid problems.
Yeah that’s easy, not looking forward to it though haha

good thing you got that car club to help you with shop recommendations. I can see the frustration getting to me for sure. I'm trying to lay some stepping stones with various connections so I can hopefully avoid some problems
Yeah that’s been the best, I’d be lost without them!
Loving this content cant wait to see results.
Thanks brother!!
Yeah that’s wrap colour is sick ❤
Thanks matey! Let’s go for a ride soon 😊

Do you have to get a permit from transport department with wrap colors? I know you have to with actual paint color change.
Yeah I believe so, but it’s supposed to be a very easy process, let’s see 🤣🤣
I recommend install carbon hood at monza factory.
Bro that’s so funny, I get that exact same look from the guys when I pull up trying to modify my bike 😂
Haha yeah, like deer in the headlights lol

Oh man it will be all the more sweeter when you arrive! I need to do another trip to the Philippines too!
Cool vlog❤
Is wrapping better then painting? Texture maybe?
Just cheap, then I think I’ll change the colour every 6 months or so 😊
💯 great colour choice especially with the white wheels 👌
Thanks mate, I can’t wait to see it!

I got it done at a little local place, check out this video: th-cam.com/video/XufHZGWizPk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7va-Bx1VaAKIBLQx

I would recommend you get M8R air suspension with D2 wheels 👌💯
The hit and run situation is not unique to Thailand. It is the same here in the Philippines. No Mpass in Bangkok is a rookie move, get that sorted :P

Yours pass all aright?
Yes no problem. A 2018 Fortuner TRD with 87k. Klms.
Nice CR-X parked outside the coffee shop.
Looking forward to the finished product
Thanks mate, me too 😊
Ain’t consolatory but I live in the Philippines/Manila and my car is also full of dents and scratches
You should get M8R air suspension with D2 TC005 WHEELS would be sick 👌💯

Cheers mate,
🙂
The truck is going to look incredible ! :)
Can’t wait! 😊
Hey we go big boys and their toys looking forward to seeing you pimp your ride.
I'm sure she will look dope the MR2 looks like a baby Ferrari.
Yeah wish I could bring the mr2 here, gonna have some fun with the hilux!

How do you fix a wrap when it gets damaged?
Re-wrap haha
Going the full lux taxi puffed and stitched interior setup too ?
Haha hell yeah!!!
Do a 3" straight titanium exhaust and intake
Already got a straight through off the back of the turbo 😊
Whats involved buting owning car in Thailand? Do u need to be resident or ??

Haha yeah, you know the feeling!
Definitely can’t wait to get it wrapped now 😊
That's a cool... colour. 👍👍👍👍
Cheers matey! I dig it!
Is there a Corolla GR equivalent sold in Thailand?
I have seen one of them here, they aren’t common but I have seen one!
Love your videos but not particularly a car guy. Just thinking.... wouldn't dings to a wrap or carbon be even more to fix?

GET A carbon bonnet with 2 scoops the same as a XB Falcon
If you're hacked off about having the metal bodywork pranged around town, imagine how you'd feel if it were carbon!
Haha yeah, let’s see how that goes lol
Here's a hint, "Diesel, dtem tang" means to fill it up...
My cars have been hit in parking lots in Thailand sooo many times that I've lost count...
Yeah it’s just the name of the game living here haha
Just go into the dealship and buy snee one
Be careful man that price for the wrap is barely the cost if the material in Thailand and very low quality stuff that. A $350 wrap… hmmm
It’s alright, I plan to change it and change the colour every 6 months or so.. it also comes with a 2 year warranty so, let’s see how it goes 😊
7000THB unbelievable, couldn't even buy the vinyl for that here. AU$3500=6000 here.
Sent you a message on Patreon mate.
If you want full tank, say "them tank"

Don't do it.
Better part it white paint that you can pail of if you do t like it.and much cheaper.
Yea this is for everything. They dont respect time. So its a reason why they stay poor. I talk to so many about this and every time they say they want to make money. But action speak louder then words.
In Thailand "time" is just an idea.
Nothing like professional levels of unprofessionalism. We are open.... if and when we feel like it.
Haha this is Thailand!! 🤣
7k what a bargain
