Not many people know that as well as writing the famous children's books, Beatrix Potter was also a champion sheep breeder. She owned 14 hill farms in the Lake District, along with 4000 acres of land. Such was her vast experience with sheep breeding, she was often asked to judge at agricultural shows in the area. On her death in 1944, Beatrix Potter left her land and farms to the National Trust, who today own or manage 140'000 acres of the Lake District, along with almost 90 hill farms.......
Really awesome video I liked seeing the town with all its brick work and walls love peter rabbit the old one and that new movie they made was funny and it was like you were walking through pages of the book for reals
That attraction looked lovely! I love Beatrix Potters books! Id so go there and see the gift shop and garden it looked lovely and the restaurants and shops leading up to the attraction looked pretty too
Great place bowness, I've been a few times for the weekends for a break with my friend they have an old fashioned cinema right at the top of the hill which is still showing films. Your right about the icecream it's amazing. Did you see the little arcade at the bottom. Great video I've even shared to my friend x
Absolutely love your video and everything to do with Peter Rabbit, but we cannot assume that the tales of Peter Rabbit book was created in the Lake District as she lived in London with her mum and dad and her brother and her parents had a house in the Lake District, where they would often go on holiday to the Lake District, but her idea might have come from her holiday in the Lake District and then try to get the publishers to print it for her and sell it in London.

@@michaelmatthews4103 amazing! If it's open you can hire a boat, just down the road, weathe dependent. You can hire a little speedboat to go around the lake :) also the arcade is naff if you're thinking about going there and the cornish pastry shop is delicious for a fairly cheap bite to eat :)
