AOE2 Drush into Archers Build Order Tutorial

- Welcome to this AOE2 Drush into Archers build order tutorial! This beginners guide will help you master the AOE2 dark age rush into archers strategy and it is a build order that I recommend to intermediate level players.

The main aim of going militia into archers in AO2 is to be able to militia rush your enemy and cause as much damage as possible and delaying their Feudal age and army production before switching to an AOE2 Archer Rush to build on that damage that you have caused. this will delay your castle age time however you will have hopefully delayed theirs more or at least have a good sized army available if they do reach the castle age first, with no army. AOE2 Drush into Archers build order is as follows:-
6 vills to sheep
4 to wood (with LC)
1 boar
1 build 2 houses then berries
3 berries (lure 2nd boar with food existing boar villager)
1 to collect 10 gold then go to wood
1 to make barracks and house then wood
make 3 militia then attack
7 new villagers to sheep, send 3 to farms
Loom
Click up feudal age
Once sheep are finished, move 6 to wood and 4 to gold
IN FEUDAL AGE
make 2 ranges and blacksmith
5 new villager to gold
make archers and research fletching
make farms with berry villagers

So 3 tips for drush that help me are 1 put them all on stand your ground 2 put them in box formation (helps the militia surround the vill your targeting faster) 3 have your scout and control group 1 and militia as control group 2. I can usually get at at least one kill by blooming with my scout and attacking with the militia
I suck at drushing. I use tips 1 and 2 for scout rushing nowadays.
@@MorleyGames1 I’m not very good either haha. Scout rush and mma into archers are much more manageable

Briton with this build helps me won more matches compare to 21 pop Briton archer rush, my fav one so far. this and 21 pop Burguandian scout into calvalier.

Great Guide helped me alot with my briton games cause i always lacked the early pressure .... Could you do one for fast Imp?
Robert Schürlein glad it helped! Yes I shall look in to it :-) there is a fast castle in to wood based unique units build order on here too if you wanted to get to longbows quickly?
You don’t tend to find build orders for fast imp as it would be too big a build order to do. Can certainly look into it though. Generally it’s done with just 2 town centres, any more than 2 will take a long time to get the food with the extra town centres spending the food on villagers.
Idk man. I like that archer transition, but i feel like drushing sometimes hurt u more than u damage your opponent.
For sure. If it means you end up with TC idle time it will definitely hurt you more than them. It’s a tough one to do. I never drush lol
I know you play solo. But would love to see how you play in team play. Flanking or pocket position great video tho!
Darrys haha yes, I only have myself to blame then! Only used to play maps like arena or Black Forest in team games. Maybe I’ll join a team game later and record it

Indians best civ for team game imo. Someone will always pick a paladin civ ago its nice to just effortlessly shred them
Yeah that’s true. Good eco boost too. I tend to just mass scorpions against Indians though. Works a treat.
