- Genshin Impact is a gacha game with tons of powerful 5 star characters. But what if we ONLY used the 4 star characters instead. Of course, we're going to impose some other rules onto ourselves to make it even more difficult, but could we complete all the content in the game including 36 stars in the Spiral Abyss?
Amber, Xinyan, Barbara, and so many more characters are rarely used in Genshin, as there are just way better options. But could we take characters like this and build powerful teams?
We will be wishing on EVERY new rate-up character banner until we get a 4 star characters. Then, we stop pulling until the next banner. This means RNG will completely decide what characters we get to use, and prevents us from just pulling all the "meta" 4 stars whenever they show up. There are additional rules for when we pull weapons or constellations, but I'll explain those in the video.

The whole point of the challenge is to use characters that he would usually never use so he might learn to use him
True pain is watching java trying to get sethos burst while using his charge attack
The charge attack does not consume energy tho because he doesnt have his ascension passive.

You can go for a mixed CA/burst playstyle if you have a high ER build (especially with C6 and/or thundering fury). It takes higher investment than a normal build so it's not really relevant to this video, but I think it's at least interesting.

Sethos is alongside gaming one of the strongest 4 star dpses. He especially shines in aggravate or hyperbloom, but with the upcoming reaction buffs he will be great in electro charged and overload too
tbf, both these 4 star characters need certain limited 5* characters to actually be good. gaming wants xianyun, sethos wants nahida. without them, they are significantly worse.
@@_mako gaming still works with sucrose and Sethos with yaoyao and dmc. Sure Xianyun and Nahida are the best for the two, but they dont need them to be good. For sethos I'd even say nahida isnt his best teammate, fischl is way more important
@@_makonahida is more of a comfort pick than a necessity. Xianyun is also just his best option, not necessarily a requirement for him to do well.

Sethos tip: he has two weapons: the Slingshot and Hunter's path, every other weapon is irrelevant because it's worse than Slingshot
also his BiS set is Wanderer's Troupe
basically all of his (relevant) damage is CA damage, even in ult as his normal attacks count as charged attacks while it's active
Tighnari BiS is also Wanderer’s Troupe
Tighnari and ganyu also love wanderers troupe
Gaming’s skill plunge scales off his skill talent. His normal attack talent only matters if you use him with xianyun since she allows him to do normal plunge attacks.

Sethos had two gamemodes, a NA spam, and a CA spam. His ascension makes him consume energy and instantly charge his shot.
You could build him for Aggravate with collei, and use his burst because he'll already have EM which increases his damage
Or you can go with Chevreuse overload and use his CAs, since he won't have much EM.
Of course, you can do aggravate CA or overload NA, it's still really strong for a 4 star.
in his optimal rotation you kinda combine both
Skill -> burst (catch particles) -> normal attack until they expire -> skill -> charged before the particles get to him
I play the 3rd secret play style of do incomplete CA for more aggravate and ficshl damage
Note that when he does NA spam (ie Electro Yoimiya), those attacks count as Charge attacks. This lets you use the same build for both styles.
I’m not sure if the NA spam can be boosted by Yun Jin or Candace, since isn’t NA damage.

Regarding running out of things to say during the Archon quest: I am always so amazed how Mistahfeet does it 😳 he literally narrates the same Archon quest over and over, but somehow I cant get enough of his videos

I do wish people gave him more credit, you should really try and play with him, his two gameplay styles make him very unique and you cannot get bored playing him (at least I can't)

Candace would be fun istead of Chevreuse since she gives hydro infusion. That will let you do more vaporize and i think it's a fun concept if it works.

5:53 gaming's damage mostly comes from his **skill talent** , but it is considered as "plunge" damage (yes, semantics)
similar to how raiden's burst-state "normal, charge, & plunge" attacks are still considered burst damage which scales with her burst talent.
Gaming's normal attack talent is only useful if you can plunge with him outside his E, which is realistically only gonna happen if you have xianyun.
As someone with a fully built sethos being his favorite character, this physically hurts
Once you actually learn how to use him, Sethos is actually really fun! I use him a lot even though I have a bunch of invested 5 star dps. Also, I really love his design
Gaming does not scale of his normal attack talent , his elemental skill is regarded as a plunging attack which scales of his E skill multiplier.
His normal attack are still worth leveling only if you have C6 bennet.
Plunging attack multipliers are also in his Normal Attacks tho

As someone who's just got and is building Sethos, you can play him 2 ways: Charged shots (not using his ult) or Yoimiya-like (but electro and having some aoe). Aggravate seems to be his best team, although I haven't tried Chevreuse yet. You need to focus on levelling his Normal Attacks and ult.
His Charged shots consume energy to charge very fast, so, when his energy is low, they charge super slowly. And seeing you charge his shots while trying to get energy for his burst almost made me sad 😅
5:55 listen Java. Gaming's skill considers as a plunge attack indeed, but all multipliers of dmg are in the e skill talent😅
And overload deals pyro dmg, which pyro slimes are immune against

Sethos works best with a Slingshot since his damg mostly scales on EM and dmg bonus. He is also one of the best 4 star dps because like Alhaitham and Nahida he double scales on EM and doesn’t need 5 star weapons to do crazy dmg
you choose an anemo character for the mondstadt quest and a geo character for the liyue quest :D
THEY LIED TO YOU ABOUT GAMING, his plunge damage is PURELY from his skill. he only does normal attacks in order to refresh his cooldown during his ult

Wait, Gaming's normal attacks do nothing if you don't have Cloud Retainer, bc it's the skill the one that has the multiplier when he uses his burst, unless you want to do normal attacks on him with bennet C6 or Candace, then no, he does not scale with the normal talent.

If you plan on building sethos start pre farming his mats now cuz they are very annoying to farm, it's called trishiraite the red rocks and there is only 30 of them
0:17 I RNGsus a Sethos on two of my Alts before this banner even showed up I couldn't be happier! It's broken with Martial Arts 4 set focus on Ele mastery or Just Instructor or Emblem 5 star or Wonderer 5 star... anything you can snag Ele mastery on rly with charged attacks boost!!
I like when you get non meta 4 stars that barely anyone uses cuz it gives me a chance to see what they are like and if I should raise and use mine
SETHOS IS BEST BOI DO NOT SLANDER HIM!!!! He's literally my main DPS he's so fun.
He has 2 playstyles and both can be used interchangably depending on the situation.
He does build on EM a lot but I personally have also a lot of ER. Therefore I don't use slingshot on him but Fav Warbow for that juicy ER. and having energy at all times is his ideal state sooo

Allow me to second the call to start picking up the trishiraite for Sethos now. There's not much of it. It is one material that you do not want to be grabbing in a hurry later.
Your gaming team can be Gaming, Barbara, Candace, and Kachina where you can NA Gaming between plunges for hydro
Call me crazy but i think em kachina would be her best build. She doesn't do much dmg, but crystalyze shields will provide resistance to interruption plus the dmg bonus from set. That would make her decent buffer
I mean, your not wrong. If she's just gonna be there to proc cinder city, might as well make her a half-decent shielder.

@@nimnims8 yes, but she is making them off field, and it doesnt matter if she blocks 1 dmg (and you lose hp), or 5000 dmg (and you dont lose hp), interruption resistance is the same

Hey java, i'm a big fan of your videos !! i have some advice for the account that you might take, or might not, i'm willing to try and help the challenge and want to see you succeed!
My advice is probably to focus on Atk and em for this stage of the game. It's extremely difficult to get a decent crit ratio at the current adventure rank as seen by each unit getting to under 20% crit rate. Its easier to build more atk (or their respective scaling stat like hp for cheveruse) and em for this point so your characters do more damage generally and with the reactions your doing, rather than focusing on trying to get those high numbers with the extremely low chances of happening. Whether you take this advice isn't up to me, i just want to try and help the account. Have a great day and i love your videos !!

I think building a physical team is good for early game, with the Gaming team, you're struggling to clear th Liyue talent domains.
I suggest Physical Kaeya with his good normal attack scaling...
I don't recommend Sethos after playing him for the time he's been out. Though he's fun, and can do quite a bit of dmg, he's also squishy and requires good dendro off field application. I'd recommend building Kachina instead, she (or rather the natlan artifact set) will be a huge boost to your current roster

By wanting to see story progress maybe people meant what other streamers do, they follow every update and give reactions to it immediately and they go through archon quests together with players. Because you know if you’re a genshin or any other cc you have to know what’s going on right now in this field, you can’t be outdated

Overload won't help against pyro slimes, since it deals pyro damage
I think with the quests maybe focus less on the main story quest and do either world or character tests maybe after each new character or new main story quest you do one of the character or major world quests. Those quests will provide as much of a challenge as the main ones for the accounts but be much fresher content
slingshot bow is for sure one of his best weapons at r5, you just have to machine gun his charged attacks after bursting from a close distance for best use of the weapons passive. after bursting with sethos, his tap fires are counted as charged attack damage, not normal attacks. i built him on my main and although i use him with two five stars and have good artifacts, his kit and scaling is one of the best among four stars. i have a lot of 5* main dps characters but i absolutely love him and consistently choose him over more meta 5 stars because of how much fun he is! once you have more characters, in my opinion a good team for him would be sethos, fischl, yaoyao, and sucrose. sucrose is interchangeable depending on specific needs. i.e. if yaoyao doesnt have enough dendro application to maintain aggravate, sub sucrose for collei (or another dendro support). im not sure if hyperbloom is optimal, since i think it would be hard to maintain enough dendro for consistent cores because you would need double electro (sethos + fischl/kuki), i believe sethos himself doesn't drive hyperbloom well because of his single target nature. i made all team recs with late game in mind, obviously not all of the characters i mentioned are currently owned on the account :D

I recommend you do the inazuma archon quest first since the natlan one is not done yet and you will have to wait until the end of it is released and you will have the exclamation points on the screen for longer.
Most of HYV’s fast completion bonuses (for 5.0-5.3) would expire before that, though.

I suggest you finish up the teapot quest for weekly reward for xp book or artifact. Once you set it up, it give you plenty of resources.

As for repeated content, you don't have to be 100% entertaining all the time. :) It's fine to have some "filler" time where you just play the game in a less structured/edited way. Maybe that's not what you want for the channel, though. But if you did, we'd like that, too.

Sethos is actually quite fun once you figure it all out. His CA before takes energy away (which I believe is fixed with c6..) But in my experience, he’s really good for Aggravate or hyperbloom

I use Sethos a lot for my Machine Gun team.
Sethos - Nahida (or a good dendro applicator) - Yelan/Xingqui - ideally Baizhu, Zhongli or Xilonen but a unit with a shield or a buffer is good in this spot

Candace should actually be really good for this account. She should let you vape Gaming's plunges consistently, since her hydro infusion doesn't affect the plunges from Gaming's skill and you can then use Gaming's NAs to apply hydro in-between plunges. I tested it out on my own account and it worked well (though I do have a c6 Candace which probably affected how consistent the hydro application actually is)

Sethos gets his amplified CA instantly by consuming some of his energy so you can play him either NA with burst infusion or CA without the burst, both of which need ER

as a c6 sethos player, I can give you a few tips about this, a very fun team that I like to play with him is quick swap, and I usually play him in aggravate with kaveh and it's honestly the only times I would play kaveh outside of a freeze bloom team (its so much fun if you get kaveh I highly encourage it and I only use four stars for that team) with kuki, nahida (or if your case collei, but I used actually yaoyao for the longest time because because it's better for a quick swap teams) and fisch, its so much fun! Since both characters have relatively short rotations, and both of them need their bursts so you can alternate between each one of them and you will have both their bursts up when the other one is done, and since yaoyao and kaveh use the same boss, its was more efficient to build them together

To make doing quests funner, I usually read the characters in funny voices. Not good for content but it helps you have motivation.
