I thought I'd try a new format this time folks, and try and make my review shorter and more succinct - more of a Van Tour than a thorough review. Please let me know if you like this format, or it's still too slow and drawn out, or if you'd like it to be longer and more detailed. I'll let this guide me then for van tours at the forthcoming show at the NEC. Thank you!
...agree, short and sweet but you managed to give a great review. I have this 2008 Adria 532UP and love it, the previous owners really looked after it, new caravans look good but with all the upgrades (Engel remove compressor fridge, heating, solar battery system, external shower etc) I like mine better 😅
Short and sweet, like this one, would be fine. The longer ones are fine, as well. But shorter ones may be easier for you AND people might be more likely to watch a shorter video.
Thanks for trying the new format. I thought it worked well, and it would be particularly suitable for show reviews. You managed to provide a good overview while still covering the key positive and negative points.

Thank you Andrew I am lucky to own series 3 unicorn 🦄. The solar panel is 100 watts . Having seen the new ones..they have removed all soughts of items .such as a laundry basket. Front shelves..we find the build quality are somewhat disappointing
We bought a new Series 4 Cadiz but then swapped to a series 3 Cordoba as much preferred the interior. The front shelf, the centre unit with the cut off corners ( so much better ). We then went back to a Series 4 Pamplona and loved the layout but the series 3 for us had by far the nicest feel and look to it .
@@annirvin6555 we actually swapped to a Pamplona ( same as Cabrera but a twin axle) and i would absolutely recommend that layout, the end bedroom is great 👍
Now if I could afford a new caravan this would be at the top of the list. Great size and as it's my friend who stays with me in Cara she would no longer have to come into my bedroom to use the toilet! !
Thanks. We have one of those large front windows on our 2016 Pegasus Modena. It's fab! Wish our Mosena could be this layout, Love looking round Newby vans!
There’s quite a few wonderful things in these! The wrap around front and rear end-caps to reduce the chances of water intrusion is just one BIG plus! The interior is beautiful! I do wish it had a 12v refrigerator though... 👍🏼😎
@@annirvin6555 - I’m sure you’re right. I spent a month driving to and walking around RV graveyards looking for an Airstream number. Didn’t find a bumper but the number of RV’s where fires had started at the refrigerator location (vents/grills) made an impression on me. I would like a residential or 12v refrigerator. Just a personal preference.

RE the barn door/bin/fly screen issue on my 03 Elddis the bin unclips, I’ve not checked if it does on the Cabrera. Incidentally this is my favourite layout, would really work for us.
The new format is fine. The mid wash room designs make a lot sense placing a lot of weight over the axle making for an easier tow. Also if one of you is an early riser, you won't disturb your partner. None of the manufacters seem to get the mains sockets in the right places. That door lock is a worry😟 it seems to be used by several manufacturers. Bailey have stopped building caravans in Australia. Not sure if or what they are importing?
We were thinking of buying this model Don't like the dodgy door catch Plus I think that the material on the wall, will be a dust-magnet. Good video. Like the way you give the sizes in old money.😁👍
Beautiful caravan but when are they going to learn about a little shelf to put your phone on while charging from the light?! Daft!! Great vlog and video Dougal is lovely and you are too! Hi Andrew good review, I think the Phoenix +640 is far better value for money (£6200 cheaper)same layout but with longer front single beds at 5'11" and a weight upgrade so you can carry up to 244kg
I think for people that already have a caravan new format 9k. For newbies might need more detail. I do like this layout.. can't believe no towel rail in toilet though??. Love our phoenix 640+ though if I had a lottery win maybe time to change.

Re the table - have discovered in our Rimini that the bed struts dont hold the bed up when bedding is on it. This might make getting the table out difficult
We are disappointed in this van, we were looking to upgrade from our Rimini GT 65 but have been put off by a number of things. The ledge at the front window has gone and the storage seems to be inadequate especially in the bedroom. The wardrobes are really small and the bedside units do not hold any storage so you have very little space to store clothes. There is no provision to move the large wine rack which is a waste of time if you do not drink. Finally these vans have become so heavy that we will have to go down a level or replace our car .

As a non caravanner (yet) I would like to know what a typical payload might be. This one seems to be too little by the time you put in an extra battery and a motor mover. Comments please.
@@bimble7240 payload on this is about standard, the fact that the caravan can’t be up plated is the issue (for some people), once you have added a decent leisure battery and motor mover you have lost around 60kg of weight Also I believe manufacturers allow 10kg for a gas bottle but unfortunately a full 6kg calor bottle weighs around 17kg

Good review but let me put my experience of a unicorn v carbrera to you,it’s not good.Picked up ours on the 22/12/2021 got it home to find bathroom door wouldn’t lock and chrome trim peeling of,wardrobe door not opening correctly so rubbing on pelmet and top cupboard unable to open,pipe work from inlet bent at 90 degrees,stable door inoperable and soft closing on kitchen draws not working. Went away on Boxing Day only to have a serious leak that wet all grandkids bedding,turned out to be pipes to taps incorrectly fitted and problem due to pipe work on return leak was sorted by dealer rest waiting for warranty authorisation. The final states was when we were setting of again, not twenty yards down the street the battery box cover fell of smashing into atc the noise was frightening,the caravan was returned not fit for use after owning it for a day over three weeks,no question asked by dealer,now the proud owner of a challenger x 880 and so far not a problem.
Oh gees, that sounds grim! Sorry you had issues but good for you for returning the caravan. Only when more people reject the unacceptable might things finally change. Hope you enjoy the Challenger. Cheers!
Very nice interior, except for the 'matble-effect' wall board around the TV point which, on camera at least, presents the appearance of having been smeared with oil from a motor mechanic's unwashed hands!
Great review, ....but normal Bailey faults. Will they ever improve build quality.,? We will never ever buy another Bailey. Check check and check again, so many faults and poor design. Dougals face said it all. Don't buy a Bailey. People in Lee Davey are nice.

Yes they do! Although porches and half-awnings are more popular than they were back in the day.
