The Florida Keys are a 120 mile archipelago that extend off the southern tip of Florida south of Miami. Most famous in the Florida Keys is Key West but in the 120 miles before the overseas highway connects a tropical paradise island chain. Endless ocean views, turquoise waters and blue skies capture the feeling of the Keys while running on island time. About an hour north of Key West in the middle of the Keys drive lies the stunning state park Bahia Honda. 3 scenic beaches, an iconic bridge backdrop, and nature trails make Bahia Honda a must stop while driving the Overseas Highway. Although the Keys are not typically known for their beaches Bahia Honda's 3 beaches have soft sand, amazing clear turquoise waters, swaying palms and ideal scenery for a relaxing beach day.
Sandspur Beach is the largest of the three beaches on the southern side of the island offering beachside amenities, perfect tropical water and sand.
I hope you enjoy this relaxing, scenic walk along Sandspur Beach in Bahia Honda State park in the heart of the Florida Keys. The purpose of these videos is to bring some relaxation or showcase tourist destinations in their natural state without music or narration allowing the location to be the character. Yep. Me and my family went to bahia honda state park in April of this year. It was completely worth it. We spent half of our vacation near Sarasota and for our last 3 days we stayed in homestead and drove to the keys. Bahia honda park was completely 100% worth it for me, the wife and our small kids. The clear water makes you forget about the seaweed washed up on the beach that is not allowed to be cleared up. The dead seaweed helps protect keys from erosion.

This is the best part of the Atlantic ocean i have ever seen. That says alot coming from a guy who lived in hawaii for 3 years. My wife did not really like the old bridge view from where we were at, so I think next time, we will either just go across the street, or go to sandspur here. Its beautiful. People, do not forget to visit Robbies outdoor market. It is completely worth it. You can feed some tarpon fish right off the dock, buy some cheaper souvenirs than you would get at a beach shop and there are a couple bars that you can get a cocktail on the go. That was the most relaxing afternoon I had with two toddlers and a baby.

@@MileMarker4k ohh yes. Me, the wife and kids chilled at the market all afternoon. Me and the wife had a few margaritas and sat in the chairs right in front of the marina. Reggae music playing in the background, a tiki bar in front of us and the kids playing with eachother. Just a relaxing day. I could have spent all day long there. Lol.
