Thanks for this story. I live in London and I have been to the musium of Bank of England. There is a gold brick kept in the middle of this musium which is inside a secure transparent glass box and you can hold the gold bar by entering your hand but can not take out the bar. Worth an experience and lot to know about the histroy of money/notes in circulation.
