It works for the Steam Version. Just remember to type the dash before the words "FastLaunch". I just typed the words w/o the dash first time around; and it didn't work, so you definitely need that dash.
*Steam version method:* 1. Right-Click "Microsoft Flight Simulator" in your Steam library. 2. Click "Properties...". 3. Add -FastLaunch to your game's launch options. 4. Close the Properties window. (It will save automatically) *Store version method:* 1. Right-Click your desktop. 2. Navigate to and press "New - Shortcut". 3. Enter cmd.exe /C start shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App -FastLaunch 4. Click Next. 5. Enter any name. (This will be the name of shortcut on your desktop) 6. Click Finish.
I guess I should delete some world updates then 😅 my loading screen after all the logos takes like 7ish minutes😅 and I was already wondering if I just thought it would get longer and longer over time…
Use MSFS 2020 Add-on linker to start MSFS 2020 with "Force High Priority" setting. It gives MSFS "High priority" on yr CPU without having to go into Task manager & doing it yourself
great video thank you. Mine get stuck on the Irish cliffs scene, seems to take forever. Will try delete some of the world updates and see if that helps. Update..deleted a ton of World Updates, this made no smack of difference, still having long loading times at the Irish cliffs scene. This problem started with Sim Update 15.
Perhaps because I already load fairly quickly I only gained 7 seconds. Went from 82 Seconds using the old shortcut to 75 Seconds using the new shortcut and not running as administrator. If I run as administrator it's 3.5 seconds slower - 78.5 seconds. Was hoping to get under a minute.... 😎
@@AirborneGeek haha see, this is called collaboration! Thanks for the correction to my correction. I'd love to see a video about MSFS Addon Linker in the future. That's another great way to reduce loading times and bloat.

Absolutely correct, running "as admin" creating an unnecessary security risk. It doesn't "help" any games (absolute BS). If anything it may screw something up.
@@AirborneGeek never mind.. managed to set everything up like before.. I do have to say that it’s running smoother now somehow.. sometimes a clean state isn’t bad after all 😅👍🏼
Thanks man, I have covered that in this video. This is what I pretty much use with some tweaks depending on weather and time 🙂 th-cam.com/video/EcO8Hol68xA/w-d-xo.html
This method will only remove the splash screens which take 35 seconds off...rest of the loading time depends on how big your community folder is so you can delete some unused stuff from there to make loading times better

Ugh drop by drop...haha still something I guess 😅
200 times 45 seconds is 9000 seconds, or 2 1/2 hours (my math corrected by @AirborneGeek). Still a significant amount of time.
I knew I was doing the math wrong....actually 9000 seconds so 2.5 hrs

Oh...sorry about that man 🙁
It's basically shot on Xbox.... completely unplayable
Never ever start an application using admin privilege if it isn't needed.
Didn't know that...Why is that? I thought MSFS should always be started as admin
@@AirborneGeek Because you could be giving access to protected folders

Let's do Collab brother
Not working for me. I am stuck at the screen at 1:50

Kinda feel like fsuipc already does this, no?
Never used it so not sure if it does this. I heard Flow Pro from Parallel 42 also does this but that is a payware.
It caused problems with fsuipc loading. No go for me.
Yeah I don't use FSUIPC yet
Dont see launch options in steam version ?
