Trackmania: The Battle for TMNF Nadeo World Records

Happy to be back and ready to make more videos for you.
This is the entire history from 2008-present day of the Top 10 players with the most world record in TMNF nadeo tracks. If you like this format, let me know, there's so much more data I can shove down your throats! Hope you enjoy.
Thanks to my TMX history team for help making this video. You know who you are.
Everything for obtaining data and generating the bar graph was performed using Matlab.
Some trivia for each of the clips I showed in the video:
2008: Kluhtu uploads WRs on B01, B02, B03, B05, B06, B07, B08, B10, B12, B13, B14, and B15 on the same day. One month later he did something similar, but with the C tracks and a few D tracks.
2009: Karjen dominates the nadeo scene for the whole year.
2010: Anarki has the most WR uploads in 2010.
2011: Kenny is the first non-european to significantly feature in the top nadeo players.
2012: racehans stuns the nadeo community with his unparalleled skills.
2013: racehans continues to dominate, bringing his WR count higher.
2014: riolu! starts to challenge racehans on many maps, a battle of titans.
2015: Wirtual gets his first nadeo WR.
2016: After fighting on C10 with Drarker throughout the year, magic-pete drives one of the most unbeatable WRs ever seen. It is currently the oldest WR in the TMNF campaign.
2017: Demon continues setting a few WRs every year. One of the most consistent players throughout the games history.
2018: Sativa takes precision maps to a whole new level in Trackmania.
2019: Hefest gets a perfect A12 uber. Nadeoest-nadeo starts. The community challenges itself to beat all 65 records by the end of 2019. You can probably tell that things got really going in August-October. In the end, they managed to get 56/65, well beyond anyone's wildest dreams.
2020: After losing almost all his WRs during nadeoest-nadeo, racehans proves once again he is the best, by uploading 15 WRs at once.
2021: The most recent WR by Rollin, after finding a new trick on D06.

I love that Racehans, Hefest and Demon are still driving faster than Riolu with cheats :)

@@Xohonix hefest and racehans both flew by when they started hunting wdym? Demon started a little later but riolu fell off in a matter of a few months then within 6 months of that he's outed for being a long time cheater.
@@NFCloud ok you didnt get it. What im saying: chances are pretty high that other high tier player are also cheating, but did not ger caught yet
@@Xohonix To have WRs or fast runs on something like tmnf, that were older than the anti-cheat being developed is impossible. The pieces of software used to bypass the anti-cheat only work on new runs, so if those players were cheating they'd have been found alongside the others.
Also your original message doesn't even come close to saying that...

The flag JaV used is actually a flag proposed at the 2015 referendum for changing the current flag of New Zealand (referendum which failed btw). I think JaV only used it for the memes, because the flag showing a kiwi shooting lasers out of its eyes looks absolutely hilarious

Everyone talks about the absolute legend that Racehans is, but nobody talks about how Karjen held up in that top 10 more or less for literally since around the release of the game.
Love that Wirtual just appears on the chart for a while before completely disappearing in a few months and then reappearing years later

@@GeneralArmorus there was a massive world record hunt in 2019 for some reason I don't remember. And then in early 2020 people pissed off racehans by saying he was washed after losing all his world records so he dropped Thor's hammer on the entire tm community.

Tbh we all know if Karjen wanted he would get all those no cut WRs and break them again and again until they're unbreakable by us mere mortals.
Maybe cutted ones too, it's just you have to lock him to a chair and force him to do so.
Honestly demon, hefest and racehans are probably better allrounders.
Karjen was on there for the longest time I think :)

Could you make a new version of the video, where all the records held by cheaters are removed? I think it would be interesting to know who was actually leading the human leaderboard in the different eras - maybe it is someone completely unexpected.
For example 3:20 would look much different, if riolu is removed and his records are transferred to the actual record holders
You can't, because there are a lot of cheaters that you don't know.

i must say Hefest is really a hell of a player, wish that he suggests me lottery numbers some day :( kacky and some of the TMNF and TM:2020 shortcut runs are so damn luck based and still he got it perfectly when he wants it to (on A12 a guy tries for years to hit pixel perfect and hefest crushed his run just days after for example xD)

But I Will upload more things, I still working as a musician (drummer & Producer, and now im starting to rap too)
But I also LOVE TMNF and im trying to stay as long as possible in the top of the Leaderbord (now TiggerVater goes 1st, such a pitty) he played almost all the Higher LB tracks and even if he has not the WRs, he can send times that are not on the top10 and he obtains that LB :(

The fact that SAM didnt even appear makes me sad that this region just cannot compete for WRs.

While most flags are still completely fine, there are a small handful that look really ugly in this format when stretched out while at the top(notably, the ones with a cross shape in them). I would prbably advise to use random solid colours for the bars, and put the nation flag next to the players' names.
