Hey I have Monterey and PT won’t start. It gets hung up on “time shift” during startup every time. If I get rid of time shift, it puts it back when I start it up. Trashing prefs hasn’t worked.

Hey guy, i got Pro Tools INTRO it only allows me the 8 tracks. Iv bought protools 7 LE years ago ....is there anyway i can get this PRO tools INTro to have more tracks? im rocking catalina 10.15.7 the PROTOOLS intro is 2022.12.0 ....can ya help me out?
Unfortunately, there is no way to get more tracks in Pro Tools Intro, but you can bounce and import stems. For ex: Bouce 8 drum tracks into a stereo file and then import it. Peace, I was on PT 2022.4 then updated my MacOS to Monterey 12.4 (mistake) and started getting a "could not complete your request because you do not have appropriate access privileges" to open any files. I followed the steps in this vid to update to PT 2022.6 since it said it was compatible. When I installed successfully I never got the prompts for avid that you show in the video. I tried to open up the new PT version and am getting the same error. Thoughts on next steps?
Check your security and accessibility settings in System Preferences. You want to make sure that Pro Tools has the permissions to access all files on your HD/SSD.
Rebooting your mac and starting Pro Tools again may also force the prompts to give Pro Tools access to all files, microphone and documents folder. Be sure to email me if you continue to have issues.

I have protools perpetual & a Ilok I bought in 2016 but now that I bought a new MacBook it the ilok won’t on work protools 2022 ? 🤔
Log into ilok manager and make sure the license is assigned to the ilok and active or enable ilok cloud ☁️

Thumbs up to you. I have Pro Tools 12 perpetual license on mac mojave OS system. My understanding is that if i upgrade my OS system it wont be compatible with my version of Pro Tools and i will loose my perpetual license is this true? Thanks
Thanks for watching the video Shaun. You won't loose your perpetual license, but Pro Tools might not work. I would suggest staying on Mojave until you upgrade Pro Tools to 2022 or later.
