This woman is... honestly, I can't find the correct words that can explain how amazing she truly is. She can make ANYONE feel comfortable and more confident!!!!! Every teacher needs to be like her, no matter the subject they teach! We need to make kids excited to learn.

I'm not even a singer, I just love watching Cheryl teach, she is so intelligent and exceptional but at the same time so warm and down to earth that the learning curve is negated 7 fold. I probably could learn to sing just because of her.

@@lynnly2406 From what I understand they help you focus more and restart your mindset by changing some patterns you get used to like moving your hands like you would normally. But not sure.

I appreciate how the girl has some difficulty in some of the singing because it makes it more realistic and gives me confidence to improve!! I've seen all these wonderful folks get it right on the first try and I feel disappointed when I don't get it right the first time. I think she did an amazing job and am so proud of her!! 😘❤️❤️

I’ve watched a lot of “vocal coaches”, but this is the first one that isn’t a reactor that can sing. Legitimately talented, the way she was able to help that singer push herself was so impressive.
I love singing but my voice sucks, i wish I wasn’t poor so I can pay for a course or something lol, you are wonderful! I love your videos!

If I had a bucket list for voice teachers that I would love to take a lesson with some way, somehow, before I die, Cheryl would be on the top of that list. These videos are helping fill the void now that I can no longer afford voice lessons. They feed that itche, that need to sing and to be around this kind of thing. Once you go down that road of exploring the wonder and beauty of the human singing voice, you just can't stop. :) I love that Cheryl truly appreciates that. She's not just a voice teacher. She's truly in love with the beauty of the human voice, and the thrill of unlocking the full glory of the sound each person can make, and that passion is so evident as she works with these students. So beautiful to watch/listen to.

I've been trying to attune my ears to the fact she mixed the last "hey stop it", instead of being fully in chest, because she made it sound so powerful.
I cant sing a note, but i love watching these videos to see cheryl giving her students such amazing love and support. She just makes me feel good!
You can learn. Think of singing like learning how to do the splits. Some people just have natural flexibility, so they can sing. Other people are really tight, so they cant. If you do the exercises, your chords will stretch. You will be able to sing notes. In two weeks, I've increased my vocal range by two octaves. I cried listening to me sing the other day because my voice sounded so beautiful. I couldn't sing. I NEVER had even a slight compliment of someone saying I could. It is truly amazing how quickly your voice can improve. I had no idea.

This made me cry.. As a singer that has always been trying to do better with my voice, sometimes not hitting those notes right can make you feel so.... bad. I mean, I know I'm not bad, but it really hurts your confidence, so to see how she responds when she hits the notes right in her chest voice... It really hit a place in my heart. I'm recently trying to work my chest, agility, and resonance better and, God willing, I will be much better after it's all said and done. I watch these videos to give me encouragement. Thank you, @Cheryl Porter, for this awesome moment. You just encouraged me. Maybe I'll get to work with you one day.

I did eight years of choral singing in my life, and I cannot sing in chest voice beyond maybe G3 (I'm an alto). It's the first time I hear someone acknowledge how hard it can be to relearn how to sing non-classically. Grateful!

Since singing high notes takes a lot of effort the voice can get tired fast if you are not vocally in shape. Im coming out with a New video in a few weeks called 10 REASONS YOUR THROAT HURTS WHEN YOU SING!! I hope it will help!!! Keep singing!

I swear I felt Maria SO MUCH when she was at the limit of her register. Cause my limit is pretty much where hers is, and every single time I try to go up from there my voice is literally HATING ME. It is there, shaking, craving for the head I am desperately trying to keep it from, and in the end I lose control of it!
But Maria made it, and I think I can, too. I am looking forward to your online course tomorrow, I am sure I'm not the only one having issues with my chest voice. If this is going to be addressed in your classes, even I will make progress with it! ...hopefully
