Having found this channel through No Rolls Barred, the playstyles could not be more different. BotC are professional players who know all the strats and terminology with minds going 100mph while NRB are getting their footing and having some really unexpected breakthrough moments. I love both of them because sometimes I want to learn with the players and others I want to see the masters at work. Honestly, how do BotC follow anything? I don't think one person first night actually claimed their true role yet they still can puzzle it out.
If your interested there are many discord channels for playing, I've been playing for 3 years irl and online if you would like to join us on discord.gg/MggH2Gv8 we have alot of new players and semi experienced players that started around the time No Rolls Barred first played it, we also play pretty much every night
With Nicky's recent "singing to Ben" episodes, I'd love to see a game where Nicky storytells and has to impart all information to town via song. I imagine it would be a chaotic, but fun, experience.
In the very *very* early days of play-testing, we were just mucking around and had someone playing in a game as kind of a good Traveller. Their "ability" was that each night they could see the Grimoire, but the only way they were allowed to communicate with the rest of the town was that, once per day, they could choose a single sentence from the Fabio Mills & Boon novel 'Rogue' and read it aloud. Even with them knowing what was in the Grimoire, their attempts to impart crucial knowledge were completely inscrutable, and generally hilarious. This suggestion is well on that level of chaos. :D - Evin
Just adding to this. He may not have sung much (probably because Ben wasn't there) but Nicky did storytell on the most recent UK (but not really) stream. So thanks Pandemonium Institute, Adam (who was running the stream) and Nicky, of course. It was fun!
Played a game with the llech a couple of weeks ago and Slayer Shot the Host in the first day, the Lleech picked the King and after talking to the player that was the king and and reading his power where the Demon knows they are in play and when dead out number the living the king gets info, I thought that would make a great Lleech host and I was right
The best defense for Nadine should have been claiming that "If I am the scarlet woman, I don't need to panic on the leech host since I would then turn to the leech if Chris is the host and die. Therefore I am even more comfirmed the as the saint than before."
How about combining Goblin and the lleech together and demon choosing their minion! nobody is gonna touch that goblin which in fact is the Demon! Any ideas how to help good guys in such situations?
It'd definitely be a tough spot for the Good Team but it's also a tough one for the Evil Team to set up, as the Lleech is usually picking their target before they know what roles their minions are. If a Lleech wants to take a leap of faith and poison a minion on the first night, and they hit the Goblin, then they deserve to be in an advantageous situation as a result of their gamble. From this point, the script is flipped - the Goblin usually wins by convincing the town that they're *not* the Goblin, but if they're Lleech poisoned then they'll usually win by convincing the town that they *are* the Goblin. For the good team to win in this situation, they'll need to figure out that none of themselves are likely lleech-poisoned, and draw the conclusion that the Lleech poisoned a minion on night one. - Evin
If the Lleech picks the Saint, the Saint is poisoned, so their ability isn't functioning, so if the Saint is executed and dies, their ability is poisoned so good does not lose, the Lleech dies and good wins.
both the previous replies are true, but even if for some reason the saint was still sober and lleech hosted the good team would win because a good win condition and evil win condition were botb fulfilled and good wins on ties (see: lil monsta goblin)
If all the information from the trusted people is lining up, and the town suspects that it's a Lleech game, then targeting those non-information roles is probably where the Good Team should start when trying to find the Lleech host. - Evin
Yeah there seems to be no statistical chance that Edd gets this lucky this often. Not to mention that immediately before he chose Nadine Ben had said "It would be really bad if he chose Nadine" Its possible that Edd is listening to stream, if he had it on his phone he could listen through an earbud and still have on his headphones for the actual game. Its just incredibly unlikely through all the videos I have watched that Edd always seems to peg roles perfectly when he wants too.
Its absolutely possible that players are listening into streams at any given point, and really if they want to then we can't really stop them. However we've had one or two instances (long in the past) where it was pretty obvious when a player was watching the stream, and Edd's behaviour doesn't resemble that at all. There's also the fact that Edd's playing style and knack for great reads absolutely plays out the same way when he plays IRL, so the idea that he has some kind of extra advantage on stream doesn't really bear out. And whilst Edd wins quite a lot, he's not quite as invulnerable as his (fantastic, and well-deserved) reputation suggests when looking at all games. Edd's a good egg, and we trust all the folks playing on stream. They're a rad bunch. :) - Evin
@@BloodontheClocktower Just pointing out he is an outlayer in statistics. The man should be buying every scratch off ticket he can with that kind of luck
@@TheLastSane1 another thing would be that crazier games are more likely to get on youtube, and even if you've watched the streams too there's also the fact that such crazy moments are more memorable while when he doesn't happen to pick perfectly you don't really notice, especially when he's good enough at the game that most of the non-perfect picks are still at least decent, just throwing in the possibility of confirmation or whatever bias, not necessarily the case but certainly possible

It was clear from a number of the conversations that people had role swapped so they must have told the truth in conversations we didn't hear

I hadn't noticed the Lleech was Welsh!
Richie clearly got hit by the Hypnotist
I can’t be the first to comment that Edd was wrong when he nominated Aggie (finding the Lleech), because he nominated Nadine earlier?
The best defense for Nadine should have been claiming that "If I am the scarlet woman, I don't need to panic on the leech host since I would then turn to the leech if Chris is the host and die.

So what happens if the leech picks the saint
I'm pretty sure evil will lose but that's a great question. I'd check the wiki and then the unofficial discord
