In today's video I will show you how we made a wooden carport on our own.
Of course, we started by planning and visualizing our project, and when the design was fine-tuned, we needed to write the material.
So I made a breakdown of the wooden beams, screws, roofing and everything we needed.
Then the preparatory work (measuring and concreting the feet) and landscaping took place.
When they brought us the cut wood from the saw, everything was planed. I used a Makita hand planer for planing. After planing, I cut the edges with a DeWalt milling machine at 45 ° to a depth of about 1 cm.
All the wood was painted.
And at this point, we can finally embark on the construction itself.
I used construction screws 6x260 and 6x280mm for connecting.
I used a DeWalt impact wrench (excellent helper) for screwing.
As you can see in the video, the roof battens were being pushed into the beams.
The whole structure is attached to the wall of the house on a chemical anchor and threaded rods.
All the places where the screws or rods were placed are hidden under fake knots.
Polycarbonate was used for the roofing, which was attached to it with screws with slats. Foam tape was placed between the polycarbonate and the structure.
