    Mike, nice job on the review. a little long... lost 34 min of my life, but great review! I was looking into this model, but didn't know what it was. The Toyota website is not very user friendly. I'm glad they redesigned the interior - especially the driver gages. Thanks again.

      +William Christian Thanks! The 34 minutes spent watching this video is a good investment compared to the time searching on the Toyota website without getting the info you wanted... Not to mention the time you might have spent going to a dealership and having a salesperson breathing down your neck the whole time.

    I'd like to see a comparison of the CrewMax and Double Cab. I've seen them in separate videos but back to back would be nice to see the differences in leg room and such. Normally I find most extended cabs a bit tight but the Tundra DC is supposedly a bit bigger than competitors extended cabs.

    XSP-S is not much different from the TSS package. it's a package, not a platform. The Limited, 1794 and Platinum are all platforms. The package is installed at the regional distributor as a way to catch the consumers attention and it usually starts with a bare bones SR5 Tundra. A platform model is made at the factory from the ground up. It doesn't really matter because they're all great trucks, but if it's not a Platinum or a 1794 you can't get memory seats or power folding side mirrors and the JBL premium audio is extra.

    Its amazing that to this day Toyota has still not figured out how to use nice materials in they're vehicles. This is quite a loaded truck and its just full of hard squeaky plastic.

    • @208230706
      @208230706 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Xyrothryu keep in mind this is the SR5 grade model, everything you get will be bare bones. Upper trim models like the limited or 1794 edition will have better materials across

    • @anomaly19851
      @anomaly19851 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mohammad Sadiqi The limited and 1794 don't use real leather neither.

    • @mr.monkei
      @mr.monkei 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      anomaly19851 They use Katzkin leather on their Limited, Platinum, and 1794 models. If you add leather to SR5 model, they use Katzkin as well. Katzkin is the best leather you can put in any vehicle which is also used in Mercedes, Audi, BMW etc.

    • @anomaly19851
      @anomaly19851 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ele Doble U Are you sure? I was told that it isn't real leather used.

    • @mr.monkei
      @mr.monkei 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      anomaly19851 Yup im sure. Toyota Uses Katzkins for all their leather. Though some seats have a mix of vinyl and leather but its all from Katzkin.

    I'm pretty sure the red line is measured out 1ft from your bumper; the dotted lines are where your hitch is at...but sure idk lol. overall good review, man!

    what irritates me the most is the tire pressure sensor... "did you know you can reset your sensor from the drivers seat??" I work for discount tire, on gm and some fords/bmw you must use a scanner to reset the sensor the confirm the system to know where the tire is. all of the others makes (nissan, honda, toyota,kia, Hyundai ect, you don't have to reset after tire rotation only need reset if the tire light will not go off after proper air pressure or tpms sensor replacement. What kills me the most is no one does like how Chrysler does it, its auto relearn for anything with sensors, rotate your tires or replace with a new sensor it auto learns its self

    It has all the gismos but it has the weakest frame in the industry and the frame is the backbone of a truck

      Currently have a 2013 Eco-boost xlt Crew. Drivers side power window controller stops as the window is halfway up, the rubber steering wheel is all worn off where I put my hands. The pouch behind the driver side rear seat that holds items, the fabric is fraying out. Driver side seat has some kind of metal bar sticking through it where you get out. 47k bought it new. Sits in the garage on cold nights, if it's outside it runs rough in the morning. Thinking about switching to toyota.

      Oh wow. I have a 2014 tundra crew max sr5 4wd 5.7 owned it for a year now, good truck getting 13.5 in town and 17-18 on highway going 75. Had to take it back for 2 recalls and rusted bolts under the rear seat. I traded my 05 ford F250 for this truck. It's my first toy! So far so good, let's see in another 2years how it's doing. Hope to keep it longer then the 10years I had my ford.

    • @231mac
      @231mac 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It might not be as 'pretty' as the Ford's, but BELOW standard??? Not hardly. Our fleet at work is Ford only. The stripper model F250's with vinyl seats stand up well, but our F150's are garbage. And all are 2014 and up.

    This truck needs to dive straight into the landfill where it belongs. Ur LSD wont save you, i know that from experience.

    • @Angel.Loredo

      Because the Tacoma is keeping this truck alive by reputation.
