Thanks! Again, I’ll just mention that most of these are taken from the fan community. I simply chose the ones the I liked the best and that don’t complicate the game too much - or slow it down. 🙂
I love the spirit behind all these! Reminds me of the sorts of things we'd come up with for HeroQuest back in the 90s (or what people older than I did with Talisman in the 80s). I'm not sure I'd actually want to play with all these, though, because of the extra book-keeping, game length, and fiddling.
Thanks for the comment. 🙂 I’ve been playing with all of these an honestly it’s really easy to implement. And the more you play with them, the more it just becomes part of the game flow. I guess the Roaming Enemies is the fiddliest… but you can live without those for sure and still have a great time.
For all of you who asked, here is a link where you can get my Roaming Enemies (RE), as well as a tweaked version of the Vorakesh (Corpse King) scenario, if you're interested. ➤ For the R.E, I’ve got 1 for Margath, 1 for Vorakesh, and 1 for Ariad. Usually, I seed the board with 5 tokens, and each token is considered to be the same type of R.E. ➤ I also added my tweaked Villain cards for Vorakesh as well as his Champion - for Co-op play. Be aware that this is just stuff I’ve done for myself. I cannot say that it’s perfectly balanced or anything like that - but it works for me. 🔗Here’s the link: tinyurl.com/46katf8n 🙏🏻If you enjoy this stuff, *please consider sending a little something my way*. 😅I've put in a lot of hard work on Runebound expansions in the past few years... 🎁Here's the link, if you feel so inclined: tinyurl.com/2y2rwzdk
These are fantastic!! I'll definitely be printing these out!! I'm not into Runebound 3e for the challenge. I'm in it for the adventure and the story it facilitates 😊
@@TheMountainGamer Looking forward to it 🙂 I've watched a couple of other videos of your's now and, as someone who mostly plays solo, I appreciate the co-op content too. Subscribed!
Did you ever publish your roaming monster cards referenced at 9:10 here (the actual monsters)? I would love to use those if you they are up for sharing.

That's awesome! So much creativity inspired me to start creating my own expansions. Do you ever tried and recreate the unbreakable bounds rules for co-op? Can't find that expansion for a reasonable price. Also, would you share your mini dragons?
Yeah .. U.B. is discontinued.... but yes, I did make my own half-assed version of it. The main thing you need is the combat boards; you can find home-made ones in the Bgg files section. The other major component is the Envelopes and the extra actions. As for the Party Skills, it’s a cool idea, but in reality you don’t get to draw/learn them that much (there are only 10)... So.... I didn’t bother making them. If you give me a day or two, I’ll put up a link for this stuff - just make sure you’re “subscribed” to this post.

These look awesome but it sure makes the game too easy if you use all of these home rules in the same game. I guess I won’t have a prologue anymore if I add all your rules. But these are good variants for sure, make sense with the game and the lore :)
Hey, awesome stuff. All of it (all the runebound videos). You mentioned to have roaming enemies for the existing scenarios, but I cannot find them somehow. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. @the mountain Gamer
While at it, while printing it it seem they were created in different dpi. Some cards (mainly the zombies) have a much crisper text than all the others.
Just found out this video thanks to a bgg post. Interesting variants. I dont find the game to be that hard, so I dont think I will try the easy mode, but I loved the other two, specially the Roaming Enemies. I'm in fact thinking on using Descent 2 minis for them (there are 5 spiders and 5 zombies, for the dragons I will have to try something else). In your experience, how often do you fight this RE? Would it be more challenging if they moved following always the closest hero, like in Fallout? Also, do you have roaming enemies' cards for the UB scenarios too? Great video, I will be watching your cave variant next. Cheers!
Hi Gus, thanks for the comment. In our games, we usually end up fighting 2-3 RE's ... I guess you could implement your "Fallout" rule, which would make their movements more predictable. Sometimes these guys *are* a pain, but sometimes we find they're an easy source of Gold. ;) Here's the link to all my stuff -- take whatever you need and don't hesitate to contact me here if you've got any questions. These are very interesting ideas. All additions are harmoniously woven into the overall concept and atmosphere of the game. Thanks!

Great video! While I’ve explored a bunch of house rules for 2nd edition, I haven’t yet done so for 3rd. So thanks for a good starting point.

good ideas thanks !
Love the roaming monster idea. Might use a similar but modified version of this.
Cool, let me know how you tweak it!
