I'm sure I remember hearing the original on the radio, but never heard the Beatles do it, even on the Hamburg tapes. Is it from the Anthology, I wonder?
@@papercup2517 From Wikipedia - "Bad Boy" is one of several Larry Williams songs the English rock band the Beatles recorded during their career. They recorded it on May 10, 1965, (Williams' birthday), along with Williams' "Dizzy, Miss Lizzy," and was originally intended solely for release in North America. "Bad Boy" was first released on the American album Beatles VI in June 1965, while "Dizzy, Miss Lizzy" appeared on the British Help! album in August of that year. "Bad Boy" was eventually released in the UK on the compilation album A Collection of Beatles Oldies, in December 1966;[5] it was later released worldwide on the 1988 compilation album Past Masters, Volume One, as well as its 2009 reissue, Past Masters, which combines both volumes.

Harri, you found another gem. I don’t think I remember this one. I’m 68 yrs old and have followed the Fab Four since 1965. Thank you for your interest in this great band.
I just love this song. John really belts it out. This song, with a number of others, was recorded quickly to fill out the album “Beatles VI”, which was just an American release. Great reaction Harri. Not sure if you ever did “It’s All Too Much” from Yellow Submarine. It is a George Harrison song. It fits very well in your description of “experimental”.
One of the rare Beatles songs that wasn't "officially" available in the UK until many many months after its release in America--I think over a year, in this case.
I was 9 when The Beatles made their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, 2-9-64. From that night forward, they've been Gods to me. So very grateful to have The Beatles as the preeminent band on the soundtrack of my life. My most favorite song of their very early years is I'll Get You, a Lennon/McCartney original, with lots of harmonizing in lieu of a main lead singer, and just great rock-n-roll music, Beatles style!! It's GREAT!!!!! Have you reacted to Yesterday yet? If you want to hear John Lennon screaming, then look for his solo song "Well, well, well". It's the result from a therapy, that Lennon and Ono underwent. A song with a somber arrangement, a stoic Ringo Starr and some of the most deafening screams in rock history. Lennon's "Cold turkey" is also characterized by scary vocals and a horror riff. Superb Lennon vocal. This has the same groove as Dizzy Miss Lizzy. Everyone calls this "Early Lennon," but it wasn't that early. This song was recorded between Help and Rubber Soul. The Beatles were in their middle period, though John did sing like this in their early period as well. By this time, John had perfected his rock and roll voice.
Bad Boy was recorded for inclusion on an American Beatles album Beatles VI, released in June, 1965. It would appear a year later on a Beatles greatest hits album titled "A Collection of Beatles Oldies...But Goldies". The album was only released in England, not in the U.S.
