I was very happy to see the image of "Sing Sing Sing" which is synonymous with Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band. As you may know, the official uniform is orange (the color of tangerine fruit) for both the top and skirt, with a ponytail and white ribbon (the color of a tangerine flower). The orange uniform, which gave us the nickname "The Orange Devil," has been in place since 1970. In 2005, a student in charge of drums came up with the idea of incorporating marching choreography based on "Sing Sing Sing" from "Burn the floor," which is said to be the origin of the current step. The origin of the current step is said to be "Sing Sing Sing" from "Burn the floor".

The Rose Parade in 2018 was participated by 115th students + 10 OGs and others (total of 104 students). Among them, a flutist with a prosthetic leg (nicknamed Clara) also had a very busy schedule, including a consolation performance after arriving in the US, and also played the Rose Parade (about 9 km) to the end with full steps. If you don't look at the video quite closely, you can't tell at all. ・・・・ It's the result of their efforts. In this way, I would be happy if you could get to know these girls a little better.
Hey Kris, yes Tachibana were the Stars of the Show without a doubt, they even drew a huge crowd for a rehearsal without instruments!! But I think it's only fair to give praise to the Taipei First Girls High School Band who were Absolutely Sensational too and I'd love to see your reaction to their performance.

😳マーチングバンドの概念がブッ飛ぶパフォーマンス。
歩きながらの演奏だって大変なのに、踊って跳ねて回って演奏。
しかも、息が乱れていない。
マラソンしながら休むことなくラーメンを食べるより難しいはず。
私の様な楽器などに、縁遠い者にしたら・・演奏出来るだけでも天才視。
加えて・・一糸乱れぬパレードは圧巻の一言！
長年受け継がれて来た伝統が、素晴らしい演奏並びにパレードに生かされているのでしょう。
ただゝゞ「素晴らしい！」と言うしか無いです。
京都橘の代名詞SING SING SING を日台友好に演奏できるなんて素晴らしいですね。
四方囲まれている様だけど、全方向に正面を向いて演奏することは出来たのだろうか？とても気になりました。
