FTX DR8 Speed runs.

Welcome back to another video from Chelmswood Modelling.
In this video we are taking the FTX DR8 out on different surfaces on 4s and 6s lipo Battery's and speed testing it.
as you will see I managed to do both 4 and 6s runs on grass but unfortunately I damaged the car on the 4s run on tarmac and I am afraid to say I'm scared to try it on tarmac at 6s but I will do it but will need to find a big enough area to do it.

Great video baby well done shame you damaged the car but you've got the bits and today you will repair it.

You need a set of 15mm wheel hub extenders it massively reduces the 6s cartwheels and makes it a lot more stable. The spare wheel post is a common break point put it back on and add a couple of thin cable ties to secure wheel onto body. Make sure to replace the rear lower suspension brace for an alloy one as well as it will break and the rear left driveshaft will fall out. if your lucky the shaft will be next to the car but not always. I’ve had my dr8 for about a year and a half and love it. Value for money wise it can’t be beaten

47mph.. that is rapid! Wonder if you give it a longer stretch it may creep up a bit more..

i will look for a nice long area for me to run it on the 6s and see if i can get mine to the 60mph they state it can do.
