      @TheJjb1986 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Lol, not at all. You guys just love talking about this discrepancy to a point this an urban legend. They were SWEPT by an average Pelicans team with many flaws. Celtics, Sixers could easily beat them. EASILY. Even the Bucks woud put a good contest, they already did inthe regular season. They have talent and that's where you guys like to focus on, but they lack too many things. And their all star power is too predictable. As predictable as it gets. They can score and ballhog. That's all. Not good defenders, not good passers, too many shots in bad nights.

    • @aimegizi5749
      @aimegizi5749 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Alex Sylve he is not flip flopping, he picked sixers before playoffs began. he said he didn't trust the process when during the season there were questions about Embiids health, the inexperience of the team...but he didn't say they couldnt win. he said the cavs would go to the east finals before the playoffs began and be beaten by sixers.
      max has flip flopped the most... he picked toronto to win east. he picked pelicans to beat warriors.

    Jeez, the media is insane now. A man can't lose in the first round because now the team has to get blown up.
    76ers need LeBron, the Blazers need to get rid of one of their stars, the Thunder need to be disbanded, the Cavs (during the indiana series) had to get rid of everyone or LeBron had to leave, Toronto has to let go of DeRozan.
    Sometimes you just get outplayed. Let if fucking go.

      Max 117 bruh it don't matter even if they go second the warriors still exist and now way in hell Portland going to the finals if cj improves or Dame they need help same for any team they got swept by new Orleans who only won a game against gsw think about that, the warriors literally on any ones head raptors were amazing but swept by Cleveland so they fire there coach but don't realize that they need to get more consistent and make some changes themselves and Cleveland if they go to the finals won't beat gsw they will have their moment but the rest is history facts

    • @crazyazndriver23
      @crazyazndriver23 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can't just say that without giving context. 2014-2015 season, they lost 4-1 against the grizzlies. 2015-2016, they beat the rockets in the first round, but lost 4-1 to the warriors in the second. 2016-2017, swept in the first round by the warriors. 2017-2018, swept in the first round by the pelicans. Add those all together, they only totaled three wins in the past four seasons COMBINED against the teams they lost to. Think about that, 3-20 losing to better teams. That's not just bad, that's pathetic.

      But is Steven A giving advice to help the Blazers or to Break them up? Blazers guard duo is what makes them so good. GSW has an elite guard duo, plus KD. POR has an elite(though different) guard duo, plus... no super start yet. Blazers need to get that third A ... or like he says break them up so instead of 2 A+ guards, get maybe 3 B-C guys, but that wont win a Championship.

    • @mattnorris7124
      @mattnorris7124 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much the best way for them to get out of this is to get a steal in the draft and end up with a guy that is able to play at Donovan Mitchell or Ben Simmons' level during their first season or have one of their other guys develop into an All Star caliber player over the summer. Both of which are pretty unrealistic but if they want to win a Championship they're going to need either of those things to happen or get an absolute steal in the FA market.

    I feel like no one actually watches basketball because if you did you'd know it takes more than 3 or 4 years to get enough team chemistry and the right role player pieces to become championship contenders. Everyone is trying to break up every team that doesn't make it to the conference finals and that's dumb af. They gotta grow together you can't completely destroy your team and try to rebuild every 3 to 4 years it's a slow grind.

    • @heloves23
      @heloves23 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      while this is true, this also requires teams to have at most two superstars. Once you have three and they can co-exist, no amount of team chemistry can overcome a three superstar well oiled machine. GS is basically way too above for most of the West to handle.

    • @greg2797
      @greg2797 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree and it's always been like that if you look at almost all of the NBA teams that won championships in history. I just think that no one wants to develop superstars anymore. Steph was in GS for a while until he broke out into what he is now. I just need people to know it takes a while to develop into championship contenders.

    • @heloves23
      @heloves23 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gregory Smith thats true but with player collusion now , even if you build up stars , its not guaranteed they'll stay. Its riskier to be patient nowadays.

      You do realize you are comparing them to LBJ? lol wtf nigga not everyone is gonna be lbj and that's what I am talking about right there. Everyone is too busy trying to get someone who is ready right away when in reality that shit don't come that often in life which is why they revered as all-time greats. The majority of people take time to enter their prime and gain enough experience to go to the next level. Notice how you could only talk about LBJ an no one else in the league. No one else has success that fast bruh. Again people need to actually start watching basketball

    • @Vladpryde
      @Vladpryde 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What the fuck? LeBron is one of the greatest players of all time. I'm a Blazer fan, and even I can tell you that post of yours is ludicrous.
      LeBron is a generational talent; so good that his high school games were on PPV! LeBron alone could probably take the Knicks to the ECF by himself.
      The Blazers need a lot of things; namely more talent. But with our dumbass GM and that dumbass coach who doesn't know what a timeout is......even if we somehow got the talent, I'm not sure it would be put to good use.

    I have to give Stephen A. props for asking the question. I also have to give CJ major props for handling the question like a champ. One of the best interviews in a long time. Honesty from other sides of the debate

    So used to people slamming players and then inviting them on the show to tell them they love their game. Refreshing seeing him speak his mind.
