Keto I. Pushing my brother. You’ll be victorious. It’s scary. I’m wanting to start mine next year. I’ve looked at a builders work. So fingers crossed he can build what I want as my project will be quite technical🤞🏾🙏🏾😱
Keep on don't give up it will pay off in the long run some of these work men are bad mine some of them don't have a good house for them self so working for a younger trying person like you I don't think they like it because some of them are well up in age keep on fighting the fight
Your positive vibes is very admirable. It's never easy completing a building project....but I think you have great ideas & know how......so Stay prayerful & strong. 💪🏽🙏🏽 Blessings
It is very hard to trust some of these workmen, even when you see them showcasing their work on social media. I have learnt not to use a workmen if I don't see a completion of a house they built and hand over the keys to the homeowners!
First video of yours and I'm glad I found it. I'm saving towards buying land next year and seeing your progress is really motivating. But the work men did you dirtyyyyy 😮 Hope you get everything resolved soon - Subscribed for an update!
It seems to me that he got that measurement because of the column that is on the other side of the door, that's why he had to put the door higher. I think he should have explained it to you. That's how I think he got the door higher.
what you saying with the DOOR Is questionable because i working as a maintenance technician in apartment complex and most of the bed room door i install is 80x30 the front door to the building is Always storm door none of these doors line up with any window mi brother.
I mean, to each his own, that's how you choose to install your doors or requested to install the doors that you do, on the apartment complex that you mentioned, BUT when you should be going by a code, and I found these info later in life, theres a code to go by, they guy who made the mistake, it's not a big mistake, but it is at the same time, he was measuring the door based on the columns he installed, if you look closer in the video, but where the mistake it, and it is a obvious one, you can't have majority of windows and door in place, one of the doors out of placed, that situation, it left more room underneath the door, for when we needed to do the flooring, that's would've brought up the floor more than it needed to be, if we were trying to work from how the door is as it is right now, so it has to be rectify
You big money to do the work and,and can you imagine the things i go through worst i am a woman and dont even know nothing about house,i spend to do over everything twice mi change work man till me week, and none of them do a good job,mi feel away sometimes a wonder if something work
I feel you, I partially went through the samethings, the info you need is out there on the web, TH-cam, now where we can all educate ourselves, most of how I got to fix most of the issues that I was having, I got the solution from TH-cam, there's a lot of people like us who went through the same ish, that found solutions to the problems
Jamaican builders are not properly trained. There is no standard in training. I have been through this and worse with my building. Thank God it is a bit better with a different contractor. I hope you will not have any future problems.
The government should make law that when someone messed up or robbed up your money, they go to jail of give you back your money

Keep learning as much as you can and ask questions bro but it's a Jamaican thing and it's sad they do it to so much of us

I too, don't trust work seen through social media, unless I know or have seen that person in living color for myself, in action.
Amen I agree
U have to watch them
Little progress is better than no progress.......we live in a time that is hard to deal with
Same so it go.
Respectfully, that mindset been holding us back as a people and letting us accept mediocrity. You should always get what you pay for.

That's exactly what happened, but if you're going to do something like that, a explanation would suffice,

True talk bro same thing happen to me
Was the problem sorted out?
Use broken block an rub it off
I tried that, doesn't work, needs something more rough
I’m having the same problem with my doors and windows, they all out of square, one of the door door jam can’t fit , it is over 3” inches out.
That's messed up, you should make them correct it.
Employ certified professionals
Yed but not all is good
Pure madness with these work men, mi tired a dem fi real
The same feeling, wish I had the knowledge to finish the project on my own.

Especially with the prices of everything going up too, sigh
Next time get some Chinese
Lol yow I wouldn't mind, them guys mean business
Jamaican contractors are not professionals. Not one person I've spoken to that's building has a good story to tell.
That's really sad, to be honest.
