Intro to Bladesmithing, Part 1: Forging

We've finally gotten around to recording our ever-popular "Introduction to Bladesmithing" shop class! This series will be broken down into three parts: forging, grinding, and finishing. This video covers all the basics of forging a self-handled knife and makes a great primer/refresher for our students who have taken the course in our shop, or as a guide for those seeking to start working out of their own shops.

Where do you buy your ferric chloride? How much for a gallon? Also, do you dilute it? Or buy it diluted?

You make it look easy. I would have gone thru half a tank of propane, and stock reduced handle/ricosso transition w a grinder, and it would still b a turd compared to the lovely bullet you just created
