He does have some serious songs, but he intentionally wanted to make his music more on the happier side. One of the reasons BB has lasted so long is because each member was allowed to have their own solo career and do the music styles they wanted which didn’t use to happen back then. He wrote/co-wrote a lot of the songs on his last album. GD was in awe as he said it took Seungri just a few weeks to complete the whole album. He knows the music style he likes. GD wrote and produced Strong Baby for Seungri because Seungri wanted to escape his "youngster" image. GD usually does some sort of cameo in songs he writes.
I almost forgot just how great TGS was, i feel sad all over again that this era was cut short. The album was truly a masterpiece, the concept, the choreographies, the styling EVERYTHING. And to think, he worked so hard to make the album come to life. We were robbed.

Seungri's music is the more popish out of the 5. His lyrics (aside from "Strong baby" which was written by G Dragon) are simplistic but catchy, they're there to accompany his voice rather than the other way around. His album "The Great Seungri" has several songs that are a must and from his other albums there's also some songs that should be listened to. I think that everytime a Seungri song pops up in your playlist you won't skip it because their strength and greatness lays on his voice.
All BIGBANG's members are so unique and special, i hope you can continue reacting to Seungri and all BIGBANG's solos, they shine for themselves, not only as a group, that one of the reason the GP called them Kings of Kpop, because all members are superstars.

Their wide range of music styles and music influences helped them be the most unique amongst the kpop groups from their generatiom up to now. Bigbang is la group where look like 5 soloists just randomly put into a one group but still clicked to each other. The genre that every members taken in their solo careers are different to each other. Taeyang is more on ballad/pop ballad, RnB. GDragon is like pop hiphop/rock, alternative sort of. TOP is more on heavy hiphop. While Daesung is rock ballad or just ballad. And Seungri is really into pop edm. That is why you can also see that Bigbang's discography are also diverse since just for the members, they are already taken different genres. Also, for me, Seungri's vocals is like a silky smooth milk that is so delicate and sweet yet enchanting. Mashiho of Treasure and Jinu of Winner also felt like that. Their vocals are so sweet and so beautiful.

I agree with you rj!! There's just something about seungri's voice that's really... soothing. It's gentle and nasal (i meant it in a positive way) yet there's a raspiness into it as well. Can't really put my words into it too 😆 he sings really good! You should really watch that a fool of tears performance in one of their concerts in 2009 where daesung and seungri slayed the bridge part. 💯💯💯

last comment i swear but yes you’re right about his voice being pretty. it’s very angelic and soothing to the ears. imo his voice balances the other members v strong voices within the group but don’t be fooled he can belt too if given the chance. about strong baby, it’s a gift by g-dragon to seungri when he become of age (cmiiw) and he used to sing it on weddings A LOT.
If he ever releases music again in the future, (even if he has to do it outside of Korea) I will most definitely buy it. I love his songs and regardless of what may or may not have happened, I love him too.

Love Seungri too.... great performer and yes Superstar. All Big Bang members are so different as artists.... they all dance so many styles and sing so many music genres. Seungri is a terrific DJ. But he also did musical shows when he was 18 years old while a member of Big Bang.

BB is a very diversed group and as a soloist. Their wide range of music styles and music influences helped them be the most unique amongst the kpop groups from their generatiom up to now. It's actually kinda funny how if u were a VIP for a long time they have such diff. Vibes and signatures of songs they do but once they form as a group that automatically bring them back as 1 full group.

It is because Seungri has natural dark circles around his eyes if you look at Seungri's eyes during his teenage years or just refer to his Strong Baby mv you will understand the Panda nickname.

First of all, thank you so much RJ for not excluding our baby Panda Seungri in ur BB's solo reaction.
Bigbang is la group where look like 5 soloists just randomly put into a one group but still clicked to each other. The genre that every members taken in their solo careers are different to each other. Taeyang is more on ballad/pop ballad, RnB. GDragon is like pop hiphop/rock, alternative sort of. TOP is more on heavy hiphop. While Daesung is rock ballad or just ballad. And Seungri is really into pop edm. That is why you can also see that Bigbang's discography are also diverse since just for the members, they are already taken different genres.
Also, for me, Seungri's vocals is like a silky smooth milk that is so delicate and sweet yet enchanting. Mashiho of Treasure and Jinu of Winner also felt like that. Their vocals are so sweet and so beautiful.
