    Heck of a workout for the Rhino Ag brush mower. That pasture was overdue for the clearing that the mower out performed any expectations again. A far better marketing tool than a fancy advertising campaign done by non farmers. Great upload and more pasture for more cattle.

    Rhino needs to use your footage for their ads. You definitely put it to the test. That’s a well designed and built piece of equipment.

    Absolutely great video! When I watched this video my thoughts return to the fire. I live close to the Carr fire in California and had to evacuate my home , I am back now and everything is ok at my place but over a thousand homes and buildings were burnt. Part of the problem was poor forest management. It is great to see you doing the right thing!

      This one by far has been the heaviest cutting action. I'm anxious to see what happens when the 4155 goes back. Hopefully, a suitable replacement is found that can do even more foliage destruction as they require.

    That was a great job of pasturizing that woodlot. Of course, everything you did showed where more could be done. At least your pasture could be mowed. On my Grandmother's farm in Maine, it could not be mowed. There was more juniper, cedar, and of course Rocks, than grass. Even her best hay ground is "going back to the Indians" I guess. God Bless you all.

    Great video Ryan !! You guys did pretty good it look like . Now it probably needs the chain saw clip ! Locusts are like a venereal disease, easy to get and a real pain - in more ways than one - to get rid of !! Same goes for the multi-flora roses ! Looks like the Rhino does a good job on just about everything you set it to ! It takes time and hard work to undo years of neglect but you guys are making good progress !

    Awesome video. If I was to ever have the money and in need of a large mower like this one you have me sold on it after seeing what it can do. This thing really is a BEAST!! I have enjoyed seeing what you get into every time you have the Rhino mower hooked up to the tractor.

    You should check to see if Rhino makes a forestry mulcher head for your bobcat. If not look into hiring one for a day or two, they can completely clear your fence lines, overgrown areas with ease.

    • @435now
      @435now 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those take a lot of power and flow to run right and you really don't want to run one on a wheeled machine. If they guys can find one they could rent a 5' bush hog attachment for it but I don't know if they have a high flow machine or not. Best thing for them right now is to do what they're doing and bring in that ditch bank mower to reach in on the edges more

      Robert S a excavator with a hydraulic thumb is much better for clearing jobs it's not as fast but your burn pile won't have all the rocks and dirt mixed in it too which will burning easier

      Or a 299d2 xhp with a nice mulching head. Less fuel use then an 8 and most excavators, and also you don’t have to burn anything so you don’t pollute as much.

    I have two TW 84 Rhino 3 point rotary cutters. They are of Mediocre quality at best. The gear boxes started leaking shortly after I got them. If you try to snug the bolts. The bolts easily twist off. ( Butter Bolts.) One of the Rhino mowers cut itself in half. The tip of the blade would make dents in the top sheetmetal. And eventually the blade got into the sheetmetal from just under the P.T.O. to not quit 6 o'clock. I don't abuse my equipment, I just use it and maintain it. Rhino makes a low Value rotary cutter. I will not buy another one.

    That Bat wing mower seems to do a very good job and between the bobcat and the mower you get things done, But; Would it not be better to just rent or borrow a Forestry Mulcher and just come in and buzz your pasture edges down and leave only the large and very large trees for shade? I do not have the same type of brush and weeds to deal with that you do. Mostly I have to deal with Sage Brush, Black Berry, Juniper, and a little Black Locust.. So mowers like that work for me ..Your thoughts...?

    I believe your BobCat 773 is a high flow unit. you need to get a Barrel type forestry mulcher head . You're using 2 pcs of equipment that 1 can do all by itself and it can take down trees. Since you don't own the batwing, see if RinoAg has a forestry mulching head for the BobCat.

    • @HowFarmsWork

    I know you guys have been waiting for the chance to do this. The Rhino 4155 really is a beast! You're not just saying it either. How much of a headache was it to fly the drone in amongst the trees and brush? When will the bulldozer come out to finish the job, or should we call Cotontop3?

    • @HowFarmsWork
      @HowFarmsWork  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's never a headache until it hits one! The bulldozer will come around when the money is free to do so, but that might be awhile.

    • @MatthewHoag77
      @MatthewHoag77 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      All in due time, of course. It'd be interesting to save an overhead shot from Google Earth or the drone of what it looks like now and compare that picture with one taken in five to ten years. I am certain a lot would change.

    • @HowFarmsWork

      We’re not too big on setting brush on fire. We sometimes burn piles of dead trees, but they don’t burn well enough to justify it.
