Yep it’s 3am and I’m searching Rory stripped vocals….amazing stuff
I got diagnosed with Bipolar II this year, and this song hits because this is what being hypomanic and then crashing into a hard depression feels like.
I need a Hurtwave stripped album and would give anything to see these songs live!!!

I discovered Hurtwave on Apple Music. I fell in love with Bleach which was the first song I heard. I then listened to and fell in love with Fever Dream and Sever. And I absolutely love Overdose!!! Rory Rodrigues is an incredible songwriter! His songs are so dark and beautiful. And he’s in Orange County. Wow! Because I too live in Orange County, CA. I hope Overdose comes to Apple Music when it arrives on Spotify. 🙏

Sometimes we need to let people go. Not because we don't love them, because, we do. Not because they don't love us, because, they do. We need to leave them because of you. Something is missing, the love is there, but something isn't. Maybe it's the commitment, maybe you just discovered yourself and realized something was missing even though it's nothing but love.
Sometimes we need to let those we love go, even if it hurts both parties, even if its hard. You live once. Only once. It doesn't matter who you disappoint, what it costs you or others. You have to be true to yourself.
I needed to hear this. You explained that lyric so perfectly. Sometimes we just have to love from afar and then just let go. Give that love to ourselves because we keep pouring it to other people.
Rory is such an angel.
When you listen to him speak about his Mother then listen to this song it's rather confronting. Much love to Rory and people who deal with family members suffering from substance abuse/addiction.
It's heart breaking to listen to and it's hell to live through. I feel this.

My dad has no excuse to see me
Lived with my mom, dad lived 4 hours away but was addicted his whole life. When I was around 14 he started using meth. He experienced hell on earth. True insanity. Lost his mind then his body. Now he's no longer around. But I'm glad he's off this crule Earth. Can't believe humans invented something so horrible like these drugs. It's completely unfathomable just how accurate it is to say that these the creatiion of these drugs were straight from hell. I would rather see anyone I love dead before I see them addicted for even one day. It hurts worst.
