Just wanted to share I have rehabed/renovated/remodeled two mobile homes (They are beautiful now!) Please plan on redesigning the kitchen layout. It is not efficient. Remove that seperating wall with the window between kitchen and living room. An island, properly sized to your mother's height would be such a blessing for daily living.
In one of the mobiles I renovated, we pulled all the cabinets, reinforced them with 2x4s or 1x3s as appropriate, repained them and reinstalled them with new countertops. They remain excellent in appearance and function to this day.
Mobiles can be so very cost effective and efficient.
The training of your children is such a witnessing blessing.
Even the training of your dogs is a witness to being even-handed, stable and consistent.

If Grandma choose that first mobile home she may want to consider renovation on kitchen, and bathroom. Layout looks pretty good. I know Tim will hook it up for his mom😊😊😊

Grandma deserves a brand new mobile home one that you don't have to renovate.. God please find this grandma a brand new double wide mobile home that is affordable for her to buy. That one looks and need to much work.. This grandmother is a precious precious cargo young lady 😇🙏 sometime pick up 2021 or2022 that hasn't sold on lots if got cash pickup good deal . Renovation is can be costly and time consuming. I understand this is not a good time to go in debt for anything. The way the economy is and I understand what you're trying to do I just think mom's and grandmothers deserve the top best .but of course when you live on a budge. Understand that too. I paid cash for my mobile home to downsize,too. I sure wish my 2 sons would be as kind and handy to remodel for me! The very little work they did for me they fought and fussed and I ended up painting my own bedroom a few months having a mastectomy! I cried and was broken hearted. My sweet church payed for me a new furnace and a new roof or I would sure be in bad shape! Praise God for your wonderful Godly son like Tim!
Tim your mother deserves a place that doesn’t need so much work, you know that the bath room needs a lot of work, and you saw the leak in the ceiling,and you don’t know what is up under . Remember you said you hated to do the base board ? You are looking at a lot of work and you aren’t done with your home yet. Make it easy on yourself and don’t make Mom wait for a home. There are lots more out there to look at. Just my opinion.
The ceiling where he said it’s dirty looks like mould to me. In my opinion this is a complete guy job. Saying the bathrooms just need cosmetic? They need completely redone.

Wiring, plumbing and I wish you had pulled out the furniture from the walls. That bathroom was very concerning to me. I would have pulled back that shower curtain.

We own nearly this SAME EXACT double wide! Yes, we purchased it brand new off the lot, but we are still in it. At the time, we had many kids and now we have grandkids and great grandkids. Over the years, as our home needed repairs, we replaced things with real house parts (such as faucets.) We have never had to replace a floor, nor a ceiling. At one time, we developed a leak over the family bathroom and one over the back laundry door, so we hired a contractor to come and overlay our roof with a metal one. There were some stains where it had leaked, and at the time, we weren't prepared to replace the ceilings...so I had the brainstorm to get a weed sprayer and spray our ceiling with straight hydrogen peroxide. After 3 sprayings, the water stains completely disappeared! They were so white, we vacuumed the entire ceiling, then sprayed it with peroxide. To this day, we have never had to paint it (although, I do hope to one day scrape the "popcorn" off!) Maybe we are getting too elderly to care, but it's in decent shape, so we haven't. I wanted to update our cabinets (which are EXACTLY like in this home you toured, metal trim and all!) and didn't have the funds so I painted all of the gold trim to match the wood cupboards. I took a jigsaw and cut, out the center of some select cupboards and put plexiglass in there. Then I touched up all of the nicks and stuff, re=stained lightly, then put about 3 coats of polyurethane over them. I changed the backsplash between tops and bottoms, changed the countertops then coated with epoxy. We long ago ripped out all of the carpeting and replaced with "hardwood" looking floors (but they are really long wearing vinyl) that we did ourselves. (Best thing we ever did!) Our central system lasted 23 years and only a couple years ago, we replace the HVAC system. We added a carport and landscaping. In the family room area, the only difference is that ours has a wood burning fireplace and shelves on each side. Since we wanted a carport, we took the shelves from the right side and put in an outside door to the carport. To this day, I absolutely LOVE this floor plan because there is zero wasted space on a long hallway. Everyone thinks it's way larger than it is. Since then, we added another larger double wide on our property and everyone still thinks this one is bigger, when it is significantly smaller! Since it has both a living room and a family room, it's been the best, most efficient floor plan I have ever had. Like I said the day I toured it: "This is such a great floor plan...no wasted space...a blank slate for anything I want to do in the future." And it certainly has been! Also, when we put the door in the family room out to the carport, we were SHOCKED by how well built this home was! We almost couldn't rip out the opening. LOL. The only damage we ever had, was once when we had a window unit in a couple of the windows. Don't ever do it. It damaged the area under 2 of the windows and we had to repair that (which was easy, but will never do it again.) I really enjoyed seeing this tour of our home. We had to laugh, as we heard comments about how it needed to be updated or repaired. I wonder if others come to MY HOME and make comments about how old and outdated MY home is. I simply LOVE IT and am so thankful to the Lord for it since 1990. It's such a blessing on the acres we purchased at the time. I personally hope you do choose it and I can see what wonderful changes you make for your Mom. I know first hand that a whole lot can be done with the original materials to make it GORGEOUS. There is nothing wrong with being creative...to me, it's not far from being livable as it is! It sort of hurt my feelings that people who commented on here would think my beautiful home is too old and not good enough. It's a blessing! Think about how well these homes last to be still livable, not the negatives. I have fixed up way worse used regular homes in the past.
There were several things to point out. One the baby lamb was too funny, pushing the sheep out the way to get in the camera. Two, the boys, the boys. Handsome as ever. Tim Jr. being more communicative brings me joy. And Noah is growing up like the others. They will be good husbands someday. I love the home. I see the potential it has. I just hope there are no water issues. Maegan has lost so much weight. Benjamin is taking it all, and Pastor Tim, you are amazing in your ow right. I can't wait to see what is to come on Grandma's homestead.

Grandma should get a log house made from scratch instead of a mobile home. A log home would look so beautiful with the trees and the forest. The mobile homes all look the same. Don’t be in a rush take your time and look at all options.

Ok Tim thanks for allowing us to tour the home with yall. This project is worth taking on. Redo front and back steps, replace all carpet and linoleum, total replace bathroom tubs, sinks and flooring if needed. Paint walls throughout. Replace wood trim throughout. Replace those cabinets. Ms Lilly put you a deck on the front and back, paint the exterior and the roof, check for leaks and make repairs as necessary. Replace skirting around entire home.
Ms. Lilly, you are a hard working woman. This home has your name written all over it. You are so deserving, Thank you for your SERVICE!

Years ago we all did farm chores before walking to school for half a day. School was a treat to get away from work and we did not have our own cell phones. To have a friend you just have to walk" up the road". That was real farm life back then. We had county fairs and cookouts and the bugs ate first🤣

The only reason I made this comment is because my husband and I build brand new (he) tried to save money basically having a brand new shell by the time we got through paying for carpet paint tile , contractors to do some of the jobs and me trying to help save money because of him I hurt my self both wrist surgery tendinitis from all that painting I overworked my hands and wrist we don't save anything but sometimes men won't listen to women they think they saving money.... but Megan and Tim you all did a wonderful job on your home.

Hey Tim, have you ever considered doing a GoPro for hands free recording for when you are doing those active projects that require two hands and or a Drone camera setup to add a dynamic feel to your footage? That drone footage will help you get on top of that roof to see where those leaks are coming from as well😅.

What does the inside of the other house look like? Are the bathrooms in better shape in the other one? Sorry for the questions but I'm thinking about the cost of repairs versus $12,000 difference of other house! There are two walls I would take down. The wall that separates that small living room and kitchen, and the wall that separates the kitchen and dining room. If those walls were taken down then it would be an open concept design for your mom, and the possibilities are endless.
I would say restore the existing cabinets in the kitchen. They appear to be in good shape. 😊

I enjoy watching the boys do farm chores and they're good at it. The dogs even obey the boys when they are fed. That mobile home is huge, but I know Tim can renovate it to look brand new if Grandma decides to buy that one. I love watching your videos.😊❤️
