Speaking of bad days, Master Duel was my gateway to actually properly learning Yu-Gi-Oh! and I had one bad day on Master Duel against Geonator Transverser and now instead of always playing around Relinquished Anima like what most people apparently do, I always play around Geonator Transverser
That's why the safest column for a monster you really don't want to lose is the far right one, it's one that plays around both 👍
It's weird what you start playing around once you get used to yugioh tho, you gotta play around anima, transverser, mekk knights, imperm, lightning storm... It's just kind of a lot lmao
Always put your most important monster on the rightmost zone, only longirsu cares about that one and orcust is pretty uncommon.

My bad day was going to my locals getting evenly matched 3 out of 5 games and then coming home to play some master duel and got it evenly matched again twice in a row I now have 3 in all my side decks

Getting Harpie's Feather Duster played against me happens a lot more than it should, especially since its at 1 copy. In the EX Zero festival it seems to happen half the time. Very weird odds but it's probably just some kind of mental bias.

I enjoyed this more than the Synchro and Fusion Festivals. Floo was rough, except for lots of people being new to it but lots of the other decks slowed enough to let weirder decks play.
Didn't lose a single game to True Draco too, the Legendary Ocean match up apparently is bad for them.
As it turns out...locking the opponent out of the extra deck isn't that good when there is no extra deck.
I played Ben otk for a while just for the 22000 and missions but I was like kinda having fun with how fast and monke that deck was and just kept going. Now I'm at 88k tokens and playing stun with an adventure engine. this event was objectively a detriment to my mental health.

I just made a zombie world turbo deck to mess with the floo, including eldlich and balderdroch. It was mostly successful. Then to get the last rewards I made my own version of floo with jack in the hand and planet pathfinder. I won 7 games in a row and it really felt unfair with my opponents :( but got all the rewards :)
This is like, the only festival I chose to ignore. Every other festival sounded fun and I played a little and was right. This one sounded fun, I played a tiny bit, and immediately disliked it. It just was awful. Made me want to play True Draco tho :)
I just grinded with the loaners until i got all the free gems, then I never queued another match lol.

Still loses but it was funny nonetheless lol

Played both a floo deck and Dino deck. Between the two decks I was able to turbo through all the challenges for this event. Didn’t bother getting any remaining gems from earning tickets.
maybe it's because of my lower rank (gold 3) but this event was pretty fun for me. I played the machina structure deck and it's, well, really fun. Sacred beasts were a big problem though

Surprisingly I didn't face a lot of flunders this event. More so kaiju. On the other hand I was playing endymions choosing to go 2nd. Some probably chose not to commit because they thought I was playing kaiju 😆😆

I’ve gotten every title from every Master Duel event since it started besides this one. It was just too miserable. I got to 19k on the last day and did the math on how many more games I’d have to sit through as well as win to complete it and immediately turned my Switch off and did something more productive. Every match was like a 10 turn grind against Floo or Eldlich. So many of my matches ended because they reached the time limit. You can only take so much of that before you have to quit. I got all the gems and that was good enough for me.

True Draco known to be very uninclusive, doesn't like and blue, purple, black, or even white cards in the extra deck. No one is allowed at all. Truly the most xenophobic of archetypes but somehow still in line with its Heritage.

I hope at some point there's an Event where you build a deck then just let two bots play against each other. Mostly because it seems like Konami doesn't really want people playing the game anyways, bot matches are the next logical step.

How is this different from Ranked? It's still a "break my board" fest
because people still want to win and get the rewards, just like ranked. Also the state of the game doesn't get better just removing the extra deck. That's a big issue but not all the issues
All of yugioh is "break my board"
You know what made me feel good during the festival? Playing amorphages, it's nasty but it's actually faster than monke flip or benkei since you don't even have to flip anything and sometimes the 2 right scales (which ironically are 5 scales meaning they are not right scales) and a summon is an instant scoop
It's also nice seeing floo players that don't read your cards pause for a sec trying to figure out why they can't pot, map or lightning storm you to then normal summon robina and have nothing happen
It's not all I did mind you I also played several actual decks
