I was an RN on a heart floor. We had at least 3 pts admitted because they were alerted by their smart watch and contacted their physician.

My mom and I both have the Apple Watch 7 after one saved my uncle’s life.
If you have health issues and you can afford it -get it

There needs to be some stringent safeguards to ensure medical privacy, especially on fertility cycles, etc. Scary stuff.

Doctor should be able to subscribe these devices to their patients and it should be covered through medical insurance

While I can certainly see some wonderful advantages…for some people…with this tech, I can also see many ways this data could be sold and used to your disadvantage.

Don't give these mega-companies all your bio-data. Harvesting time

So that health insurance companies can get a hold of it and deny you coverage?

Having a smart watch is great but Apple is taking it too far.
I'm good with my Garmin Instinct 2 Solar. No need for a touchscreen. Rather have a 30 day battery life, and unlimited with enough Sun.

But how expensive is this watch.. so many need it.. but only few will ever be able to have one...

Those watches are about $299 - $399+. They are expensive. FitBit and a few non-name brands are much cheaper. Walmart has one that can do the same thing, and it cost around $24 dollars (wego)👍

I would wear a health tracker watch to monitor my blood pressure and pulse rate.

Funny, that a 8 year old's parents now have higher Health Insurance,
in the year since her parents bought her a smart watch?
    But nobody is sharing information?
    Enjoy shopping at WALMARX.

Look into the Oura ring. It's a great wearable for tracking biometrics while you sleep

Awesome idea. I can't afford it. 50 dollars is a lot of money, it can go towards a bill.

I have a lose-it! and a pedometer app on my phone, for starters. They really help me out good.
