- What's up guys! Thanks for checking out my stripped down (just acoustic guitar + vocals) cover of Billy Squier's song The Stroke. It was released in 1981 on his Don't Say No album. The song is about the shady side of business, particularly his experience in the music industry, with backstabbing and the record industry exploiting artists.
A lot of people interpreted the lyrics and song title as being a sexual metaphor. However Billy Squier confirmed the song is about business and the music industry. Keep rockin' and thanks for stopping by! 🤙🎵😁☮🧡
