Yeah the Storm springs are not a big drop but a slight close of the gap and maintain decent ride quality. Esp compared to my experience with the Eibachs. And yes, GT line wheels are actually cool looking
Thank you for making this video for all of us too see. You did a good job on your Kia EV6. I just bought a 2023 Kia EV6 GT. and it is Brutal fast Holy Cow!!! Its Red. And yes, the sound system sucks.
Thanks for another great video! All two of my modifications were honorable mentions: tint & painted calipers. 😄 Out of curiosity, if you had gotten a Yacht Blue instead of white, what color would you have painted the calipers?
@@Emadifications On another note, my EV6 just experienced the dead 12v battery issue. I was out at a friend's and had to use my booster (highly recommend one in any case). So, I'm shopping for a replacement now. Any advice? AGM maybe?
Hey appreciate the kind words. As for range, no noticeable impact. When I first got it, filled up range read 250-265, and 24k miles later, I'm still getting similar ranges. I'm sure going down to 18s or something may add 5-10 miles or something, but just not worth it or needed to me. Many others have done similar mods and not really seen any big drop..most of your range will be impacted by climate control, how hard you drive, how much highway driving you do, and uphill/headwind driving.
@@Emadifications thanks for the quick response. An actual TH-camr that replies to comments :) I’ll be changing jobs starting the new year and I will be able to charge at work for free. I have a 120 mile round trip to work so I’m looking to save some money on gas. Also what wheels are those. I know you mentioned them but not the “style”
@@tobiasschneider6902 ha thanks! Yeah that's a decent amount of driving but if you have charging at work, that's awesome. You'll barely ever have to charge at home. As for the wheels, those are Avid.1 SL02. I think they stopped making them in this spec, though.
Hi, good video & nicely done. But, apart from wheels, tyres & springs, I wouldn’t call these modifications. They are cosmetic; not my thing. They look great, so congrats, but won’t help put a smile on my face on a windy road. I have a ‘23 AWD GT Line in Australia and think it needs significant improvement in the handling. Undersprung & underdamped. Rolls, pitches, wallows and floats too much for spirited road driving. So, I’m looking at springs that don’t lower it, (we have lots of gravel roads) and shocks to match (or coilovers). I’ll leave sway bars to last until I see if it still needs them as it may not with the reduced roll secondary to increased spring stiffness. May only need them to fine tune over/understeer. I see zero value in tyre or wheel changes until all this is achieved. The standard suspension can’t keep the standard tyres flat on the road so to me that has to be achieved. Anyone else got comments on the Storm springs, or others? Or ideas on shock absorbers available? Cheers
It’s weird the difference in attitudes to customising cars between the USA and UK. I got a metallic black EV6 GT, the only mods I thought it needed were a 900w active sub as the stock Meridian stereo has weak bass, mats (the KIA ones including the trunk) and PPF at the front as I like to track it. Albert Biermann and his team went to huge lengths to tune the suspension, I’d be concerned that messing with the wheels or tyres (21” Michelin PS4s) would spoil it! You’re car does look good with the white and black though.
I have a nasty habit of not ever keeping many components of a car stock. And I also couldn't do the bubbly suspension. It was hard to enjoy it. Things from the factory are always a bit tame to me. But I just grew up modding everything I owned.
@@Emadifications haha, I know once you start… The GT has the trick adaptive dampers which are nice. It’s surprisingly good on track, although not as nimble as my BAC Mono! th-cam.com/video/rf9KudVURp8/w-d-xo.html
Did you add Ambient lightning? That's makes no sense when you can buy the car with Ambient lightning from the factory. It will probably be cheaper and look as good or better.
The Wind trim doesn't come with any ambient lighting. So anyone who bought the wind doesn't get it, although they added an option later on but it only added some limited foot lighting like I added. To get the good ambient lighting, you had to get the GT line. Many people didn't get the GT line so what im showing is a $12 add that can add some level of ambient lighting to the thousands who didn't buy the GT line or above. To your point, yes. The GT line ambient lighting is next level. It's great. But we all didn't get that.
@@stefansorensen1218 yeah it sucks I had to go this ghetto route. But I bought the car without ever seeing it. I would reconsider due to lack of ambient lighting ... Huge miss to not have any lighting at all at a 50k price point.
I painted mine. Painting is also purely aesthetic, so one could argue that caliper covers do the same thing. but I continue to think that caliper covers are tacky cause they give a fake perception of a big brake kit, so i cant get behind it.
@@Emadifications you worded it better than me lol, that's what I meant. But also if you do not have big rotors it just looks silly with a caliper bigger than your wheel, that's why painting them is better.
Best looking EV6 ever.

Plastidipped a long time ago.
Can you take through car wash with the kit on it?
Yeah. I've only gone through auto wash 2x but shouldn't be an issue. It's on there really well.

Yes. I used engine enamel. Brake caliper paint can stand slightly more heat but engine enamel works well.
