I grew organic cayenne peppers, so I just made more of ground pepper. It's a beautiful color and has a great fresh flavor. I also made elderberry syrup today. In September, I look forward to having my Fall decor up by the 23rd. My bday is the 25th and I like to enjoy Fall inside with pumpkins, candy corn lights and fall leaf garlands. I'll be 69 this year and a widow 14 years. I stay busy, going to the YMCA, pet sitting, cooking, reading and doing needlework. Unfortunately, there's little evidence of Autumn in central/Tampa Bay area. I made chicken soup yesterday and a chicken stroganoff (new to me Taste of Home recipe.) It's very rainy these days, hot and humid, eternal summer. I miss my Tennessee seasons. I love all the seasons but Fall is my favorite!

Here in deep southeast Mississippi it is hot and humid. My husband and I are up at 5:00 AM sitting in our swings drinking our coffee enjoying the cool. Love sitting there on the patio waiting for the sunrise listening to two owls hooting back and forth to each other. Soon winter will be here and it will be too cold to be outside. At 82 and 81 years old the cold is hard to handle. We have been married 62 years and hope to be together more years to enjoy each other’s company. Jesus has blessed us beyond anything I had ever imagined. We have a daughter and a son and three grandchildren and blessed with three great grandchildren. Life is good and wonderful. We have slowed down but still active for our ages. Wishing you loads of happiness. I love watching your videos. God bless you and Charlie. ❤❤

Here in Texas, we have experienced a faux fall. We had a cold front, some much needed rain and the cooler temps got us all excited for sweater weather and pumpkin spice lattes. Then the temps started going up and up This weekend is supposed to hit 100. 😅 It does get cooler at night, in the low 70's. We are still fighting mosquitoes and bugs! Oh, weather! It's so wonky everywhere these days!!! We actually are still in a drought and I don't think we're going to get a good fall because of it. We just get these weird spells where rain blows in and pours ... but doesn't give us the steady rain we need. Hope you get some cooler temps and more rain ... it feels so good!❤️❤️❤️
I am such a fan of your channel, at 69 years I find your content refreshing and it brings back such fond memories of my own Flower Child days, which happily I never outgrew. Your garden is amazing. Autumn is slow to show up here in North Central Florida but it does appear with subtle changes that took me over 20 years to notice. My heart still longs for my NJ days with full seasonal changes so road trips have become a way to experience those changes. Charlie is a darling companion, I have a sweet cat Simon that came to live with me nearly 2 years ago on the morning of a hurricane blowing through. He has 6 toes on both front paws that make him extra special in my eyes. I look forward to your next video.

September in rural north eastern Washington state USA is a dramatic change from our hot, dry Summer and the chorus of crickets at night is one of my top 5 favorite sounds. The crisp smells of gold and rust colored foliage and pears dropping in my small orchard energize me. The golden light is a huge comfort too. No fans, no AC, windiws opened all day. Fresh air and peace.

I understand completely when it comes to products making your eyes irritate! I thought for six years that I had dry eye…and progressed to a full year and a half my eyes were burning and red like I’ve never imagined. They were oozing and horrible! I changed and deleted my soaps and makeups to no avail, so I assumed I had some monstrous case of dry eye or something autoimmune. I went to FOUR specialists and even had a biopsy done! Long story short, and by a freak chance miracle I figured out I am allergic to HAIR SPRAY! I had the flu and for two weeks used no makeup or anything but my natural shampoos…then one day I used my “healthy” hairspray and BAM my eyes flared. So, being Scandinavian and having thin blonde hair, I now have flat thin blonde hair 😂🎉 but my eyes are excellent now and no need for drops at ALL! Keep at it and you’ll find that perfect balance!
It’s so great you discovered that and it wasn’t something more serious! My father was Danish so I too understand the struggle of having flat, thin blonde hair. When I was younger I used to get it permed and that always made me feel happier. Now I’m older, perms are out of fashion and super expensive, that’s IF you can even find someone who knows what they’re doing. So, thin and flat it is, lol.

I’m in south central New York just north of the PA border. Autumn is my favorite time of the year with its cool night, warm sunny days and the leaves beginning to slowly change colors. My dog Izzy (a Boxer) and I love to sit on the deck in the early morning while I do my daily devotions and sip my mushroom coffee followed by yoga to keep my old joints moving (turned 71 this year). 0:42 It is a bit more challenging when the overnight temperature drop but I just add another layer of clothing. This ritual will last until the temperatures going down into the 40s at night. I don’t want to think about being indoors again. In the meantime soccer and volleyball have started so I spend some evenings cuddled under a blanket on the bleachers for soccer and other evenings indoors on bleachers. Im so blessed to have 8 very active grandchildren, 5 of whom are right here in my town. I enjoy seeing you and Charlie also taking advantage of these beautiful fall days and enjoying your harvest of flowers and vegetables. Be well and continue to be true to your beautiful self.

Hello!! Loved all the beautiful scenery as always. Charlie is so cute and you can see he just loves you so much. September here in Southern California has been rough so far. If you have heard the news, Southern California has been dealing with horrendous fires. One of the fires (which is still burning) made its way to our area. We could see flames from our backyard in the hills behind us BUT thankfully the water dropping helicopters were non-stop at dumping water on the flames all night. When we woke up the next morning, the conditions had improved so much and we are so grateful. Sadly, the fires is not 100% contained and is hitting other communities. So grateful for the firefighters. When the fires started the temps were 105 and today the temps are in the high 70s low 80's. SO HAPPY about that!!
Autumn is also my fav season, here in the midwest the colors will peak around mid-Oct. Although weather/seasons have changed and more unpredictable than ever. My motto for life is to see the beauty in the simple, everyday things. So when I hang out my sofa cover, blankets to dry in these last hot afternoons, and make Fire Cider, and wrap up the garden... I feel a connection to the turning of the wheel and it feeds my soul.

Our September, here in Northumberland is similar to the Hudson Valley. The trees are starting to change colour but still a lot of green. We've had quite a bit of rain but we have also had some lovely sunny weather and it's been quite warm by UK standards! The colours are stunning. Your shower curtain looks great, love the towel too. I liked what you said about appreciating where you live. The other day, I was driving to cover a class in a small village school, and the countryside was so beautiful. It was a lovely sunny day hi-lighting the Autumn colours. The Village was so quaint, people do come here for walking holidays. Charlie is so cute getting his treats! He also looks cute in his little bag and sweaters, he's such a little man! I love the garden sign and the fact that you have had an easier Summer with the ticks. You can now have a healing garden . I'm glad you had your closet sealed. As I mentioned before we had mice and it was awful, I've just stopped jumping at shadows! The mascara thing resonated, I recently tried makeup again but it didn't work, I got eyeshadow and everything. Thing is I rub my eyes because of hay-fever and allergies! Now back to wearing no makeup. Makeup literally makes my skin crawl! The vintage store was so cool, it was great to go round it with you . The walk in the park was great with your lovely friend, I'm going for a walk with my friend and neighbour this week, we always have a good chat, good for the soul. Charlie in his little jumper broke my heart in pieces! 😍🐾 In Ireland we are collecting the wild blackberries for making jam. Tractors are busy on the fields bringing in the harvests. Then the prep for Samhain (Halloween) will begin next month
September is one of my favorites months also. This year the weather is so beautiful in Ohio, except, we are in need of some rain. I want to share with you that I taught school for 35 years. Between my own education and my teaching career, I spent 52 Septembers of my life in the classroom. I was so excited about and so eager for that first September when I retired. I could hardly wait. Alas, it was cold and rainy the entire month. Such a disapointment, but life is good and it moves on and so I have been blessed with awesome Septembers since. I am totally grateful.

Trust me on this. Get a tubing mascara, the quickest one you can get is L'Oreal beauty tubes, they're in drugstores and it's a half white half red container. There is zero irritation or smearing or running, ever, it's impossible because it makes little plastic like tubes on your lashes that simply removes with warm water there's no smearing of black crap all over your face ever
It sounds like a great product, especially because it’s SO easy to get off. I rarely use mascara and just use water and a makeup halo to take it off. Such a thoughtful suggestion though this L’Oreal one is still made from a long list of chemicals so perhaps not the best for those with chemical sensitivities : )

Here in Norway, close to Oslo, September started with some heavy rainfall and floodings. This week has been so beautiful. Sunny and warm during the day, but very crisp during nights, we even had frost on the ground this morning. I was up late last night. The 3rd night with beautiful Aurora Borealis dancing in the skies. Hello! I love the autumn so much! After I’d lived in my cottage for 5 years, I noticed walnuts on the ground. I thought perhaps a little mouse had brought them in but I looked up and realised that the beautiful tree in my garden is a walnut tree! Here in Southern california I'm watching my corn and beans grow (crazy, I know!) And my butternut squash are all starting to turn a sandy color, meaning it'll be time for harvesting in a few more weeks! I can tell by the shifting light that fall is coming and even the breeze seems to have that tinge of cold saying fall will be here soon. I can only hope that we have a nice wet winter this year to help with the awful fires we've been having. Your videos really do just make my week and I look forward to them as I spin fiber to make yarn (so I can knit cozy sweaters and hats).
I live in Charlotte NC. There are just a few trees that are starting to turn beautiful colors. I can't wait until they do. I walk in my neighborhood 3 to 4 times a week and I enjoy God's beauty sooo much.😊
September in australia is beautiful. The wattle trees are booming everywhere. A Native clematis climber is flowering on top of the trees as it looks for light, and little orchids are popping up in the bushland.. Magic😊
One of the things I loved about living on the west coast was how it would always cool way down at night. In a way it made dressing for anything daylight- to -dark more complicated but it did have that mix of warm day and chilly nights you described. So refreshing. September , especially here in the north east, is probably my favorite month- still most of the summer produce in season but with a hint of coziness (and my anniversary to top it off).
I am! We are headed out there next year😊 The Hudson River Valley ❤ oh and the water! Fresh clean and the best water on Earth. When I lived in NYC my hair was incredibly thick and healthy because of that water.

Key west is hot to some…just warm to me… I grew up in nyc but spent entire summers in alplaus /schnectady/scotia area on my grandmothers farm…I loved those summers…I feel you on the mascara. Just got back from a trip to Lake Placid, the signs of Fall are there but just a little. It's hard to believe it is still so warm in mid-September. Autumn is definitely my favorite season, cool, chilly mornings and evenings and warm sunny days.
Charlie is just the sweetest. I miss having a dog. My daughter has a long hair Chihuahua named Clover. I have been struggling with mascara and eye makeup the last few years. I also have allergies (dogs and dust mites) that I found out about when I was 50. Long story short, my eye doctor last spring put me on allergy eye drops and said I was suffering from chronic dry eye as well. So I buy over the counter dry eye drops (no preservatives) and make sure that I am consist each day using them about 6 times a day. Especially if you do a lot of computer work. I hope this might help you too!
I moved to Colorado from Michigan in June. Boy, is it hot here! I miss the water SO much. We just had a couple teaser cooler days (upper 70s, lower 80's) but its back into the upper 80s again. Last week I spied a few yellow leaves so fall coming. It makes me sad to see summer go but there will come a cool day that will snap me into fall mode and I'll embrace it. For now, I'll enjoy the last days of summer. About your broken marigold, I saw a natural dye pot. :)

My favorite part of Fall (besides the colors) is the smell of oaks in the woods after a rain. mmmmmm... I'm from the Midwest and our climate is pretty much same as yours. But our land is flatter. I have always wanted to make a trip to the New England states area. The area along the Mississippi is similar to New England/ Hudson Valley. So I do get over there. I forage a lot in the countryside in my area. Love watching for deer too.

In September, I look forward to having my Fall decor up by the 23rd. My bday is the 25th and I like to enjoy Fall inside with pumpkins, candy corn lights and fall leaf garlands. I'll be 69 this year and a widow 14 years. I stay busy, going to the YMCA, pet sitting, cooking, reading and doing needlework.
Unfortunately, there's little evidence of Autumn in central/Tampa Bay area. I made chicken soup yesterday and a chicken stroganoff (new to me Taste of Home recipe.)
It's very rainy these days, hot and humid, eternal summer. I miss my Tennessee seasons. I love all the seasons but Fall is my favorite!
YOu often go on trips to heal but your trips heal me too.. I love all the sounds and sights of fall .. I can't imagine living anywhere that doesn't have 4 seasons..Thank you I am 76 and love your channel.
Here in deep southeast Mississippi it is hot and humid. My husband and I are up at 5:00 AM sitting in our swings drinking our coffee enjoying the cool. Love sitting there on the patio waiting for the sunrise listening to two owls hooting back and forth to each other. Soon winter will be here and it will be too cold to be outside. At 82 and 81 years old the cold is hard to handle. We have been married 62 years and hope to be together more years to enjoy each other’s company. Jesus has blessed us beyond anything I had ever imagined. We have a daughter and a son and three grandchildren and blessed with three great grandchildren. Life is good and wonderful. We have slowed down but still active for our ages. Wishing you loads of happiness. I love watching your videos. God bless you and Charlie. ❤❤

Here in Texas, we have experienced a faux fall. We had a cold front, some much needed rain and the cooler temps got us all excited for sweater weather and pumpkin spice lattes. Then the temps started going up and up
This weekend is supposed to hit 100. 😅 It does get cooler at night, in the low 70's. We are still fighting mosquitoes and bugs! So, that's what's happening in the Dallas- Fort Worth area of Texas. I am such a fan of your channel, at 69 years I find your content refreshing and it brings back such fond memories of my own Flower Child days, which happily I never outgrew. Your garden is amazing. Autumn is slow to show up here in North Central Florida but it does appear with subtle changes that took me over 20 years to notice. My heart still longs for my NJ days with full seasonal changes so road trips have become a way to experience those changes. Charlie is a darling companion, I have a sweet cat Simon that came to live with me nearly 2 years ago on the morning of a hurricane blowing through. He has 6 toes on both front paws that make him extra special in my eyes. I look forward to your next video.

September in rural north eastern Washington state USA is a dramatic change from our hot, dry Summer and the chorus of crickets at night is one of my top 5 favorite sounds. The crisp smells of gold and rust colored foliage and pears dropping in my small orchard energize me. The golden light is a huge comfort too. No fans, no AC, windiws opened all day. Fresh air and peace.

I live in California, and our Fall is very hot, and lots of wild fires. We stopped having normal Fall weather years ago. I understand completely when it comes to products making your eyes irritate! I thought for six years that I had dry eye…and progressed to a full year and a half my eyes were burning and red like I’ve never imagined. They were oozing and horrible! I changed and deleted my soaps and makeups to no avail, so I assumed I had some monstrous case of dry eye or something autoimmune. I went to FOUR specialists and even had a biopsy done! Long story short, and by a freak chance miracle I figured out I am allergic to HAIR SPRAY! I had the flu and for two weeks used no makeup or anything but my natural shampoos…then one day I used my “healthy” hairspray and BAM my eyes flared. So, being Scandinavian and having thin blonde hair, I now have flat thin blonde hair 😂🎉 but my eyes are excellent now and no need for drops at ALL! Keep at it and you’ll find that perfect balance!
It’s so great you discovered that and it wasn’t something more serious! My father was Danish so I too understand the struggle of having flat, thin blonde hair. When I was younger I used to get it permed and that always made me feel happier. Now I’m older, perms are out of fashion and super expensive, that’s IF you can even find someone who knows what they’re doing. So, thin and flat it is, lol.

I’m in south central New York just north of the PA border. Autumn is my favorite time of the year with its cool night, warm sunny days and the leaves beginning to slowly change colors. My dog Izzy (a Boxer) and I love to sit on the deck in the early morning while I do my daily devotions and sip my mushroom coffee followed by yoga to keep my old joints moving (turned 71 this year). 0:42 It is a bit more challenging when the overnight temperature drop but I just add another layer of clothing. This ritual will last until the temperatures going down into the 40s at night. I don’t want to think about being indoors again. In the meantime soccer and volleyball have started so I spend some evenings cuddled under a blanket on the bleachers for soccer and other evenings indoors on bleachers. Im so blessed to have 8 very active grandchildren, 5 of whom are right here in my town. I enjoy seeing you and Charlie also taking advantage of these beautiful fall days and enjoying your harvest of flowers and vegetables. Be well and continue to be true to your beautiful self.
That sounds like a wonderful way to spend your mornings. May I ask, what is mushroom coffee, does it taste of mushrooms or coffee? You are SO blessed to have so many grandchildren.

Hello!! Loved all the beautiful scenery as always. Charlie is so cute and you can see he just loves you so much. September here in Southern California has been rough so far. If you have heard the news, Southern California has been dealing with horrendous fires. One of the fires (which is still burning) made its way to our area. We could see flames from our backyard in the hills behind us BUT thankfully the water dropping helicopters were non-stop at dumping water on the flames all night. When we woke up the next morning, the conditions had improved so much and we are so grateful. Sadly, the fires is not 100% contained and is hitting other communities. So grateful for the firefighters. When the fires started the temps were 105 and today the temps are in the high 70s low 80's. SO HAPPY about that!!

Autumn is also my fav season, here in the midwest the colors will peak around mid-Oct. Although weather/seasons have changed and more unpredictable than ever. My motto for life is to see the beauty in the simple, everyday things. So when I hang out my sofa cover, blankets to dry in these last hot afternoons, and make Fire Cider, and wrap up the garden... I feel a connection to the turning of the wheel and it feeds my soul.

Our September, here in Northumberland is similar to the Hudson Valley. The trees are starting to change colour but still a lot of green. We've had quite a bit of rain but we have also had some lovely sunny weather and it's been quite warm by UK standards! The colours are stunning.

I liked what you said about appreciating where you live. The other day, I was driving to cover a class in a small village school, and the countryside was so beautiful. It was a lovely sunny day hi-lighting the Autumn colours. The Village was so quaint, people do come here for walking holidays.

In Ireland we are collecting the wild blackberries for making jam. Tractors are busy on the fields bringing in the harvests. Then the prep for Samhain (Halloween) will begin next month

September is one of my favorites months also. This year the weather is so beautiful in Ohio, except, we are in need of some rain. I want to share with you that I taught school for 35 years. Between my own education and my teaching career, I spent 52 Septembers of my life in the classroom. I was so excited about and so eager for that first September when I retired. I could hardly wait. Alas, it was cold and rainy the entire month. Such a disapointment, but life is good and it moves on and so I have been blessed with awesome Septembers since. I am totally grateful.

Trust me on this. Get a tubing mascara, the quickest one you can get is L'Oreal beauty tubes, they're in drugstores and it's a half white half red container. There is zero irritation or smearing or running, ever, it's impossible because it makes little plastic like tubes on your lashes that simply removes with warm water there's no smearing of black crap all over your face ever
It sounds like a great product, especially because it’s SO easy to get off. I rarely use mascara and just use water and a makeup halo to take it off.
Such a thoughtful suggestion though this L’Oreal one is still made from a long list of chemicals so perhaps not the best for those with chemical sensitivities : )

Here in Norway, close to Oslo, September started with some heavy rainfall and floodings. This week has been so beautiful. Sunny and warm during the day, but very crisp during nights, we even had frost on the ground this morning. I was up late last night. The 3rd night with beautiful Aurora Borealis dancing in the skies. This is my birth month (I'll be 81 in a week) and also my very favorite time of year. The sky is bluer, the colors seem brighter, and the leaves begin showing their gorgeous colors. Hello! I love the autumn so much! After I’d lived in my cottage for 5 years, I noticed walnuts on the ground. I thought perhaps a little mouse had brought them in but I looked up and realised that the beautiful tree in my garden is a walnut tree! Here in Southern california I'm watching my corn and beans grow (crazy, I know!) And my butternut squash are all starting to turn a sandy color, meaning it'll be time for harvesting in a few more weeks!
I can tell by the shifting light that fall is coming and even the breeze seems to have that tinge of cold saying fall will be here soon. I can only hope that we have a nice wet winter this year to help with the awful fires we've been having.

September in australia is beautiful. The wattle trees are booming everywhere. A Native clematis climber is flowering on top of the trees as it looks for light, and little orchids are popping up in the bushland.. Magic😊
One of the things I loved about living on the west coast was how it would always cool way down at night. In a way it made dressing for anything daylight- to -dark more complicated but it did have that mix of warm day and chilly nights you described. So refreshing. September , especially here in the north east, is probably my favorite month- still most of the summer produce in season but with a hint of coziness (and my anniversary to top it off).

A shower curtain makes a huge difference, it is much nicer than the green one.
I live in phoenix az… but I also have a house in key west Florida…I have escaped the summer in Phoenix. Key west is hot to some…just warm to me… I grew up in nyc but spent entire summers in alplaus /schnectady/scotia area on my grandmothers farm…I loved those summers…I feel you on the mascara. I have tried many…the fumes from some make my eyes burn and tear. I love your little life with Charlie…filming…gardening…crafting…cooking…etc. Enjoy your change of season.

I'm here in the Uk and heading into cooler days too. Like you I'm making the most of the last of the sunny times. I do enjoy the cosiness of Autumn but somehow this year I'm mourning the loss of the summer. Lots of candles, blankets, soups and that slowing down and resting time that Autumn and Winter brings. You could cut up the old clothing to use as patchwork material. So cool to make cushion covers, curtains, pouches and art work like flowers, etc. You can do this !❤

Just got back from a trip to Lake Placid, the signs of Fall are there but just a little. It's hard to believe it is still so warm in mid-September. Autumn is definitely my favorite season, cool, chilly mornings and evenings and warm sunny days.
I dream about painting or papering the inside of my closet - something wild and boho.
Like you, my mornings in Virginia are fallish in the mornings, turning back to summer in the afternoons. I love September!
Charlie is just the sweetest. I miss having a dog. My daughter has a long hair Chihuahua named Clover. I have been struggling with mascara and eye makeup the last few years. I also have allergies (dogs and dust mites) that I found out about when I was 50. Long story short, my eye doctor last spring put me on allergy eye drops and said I was suffering from chronic dry eye as well. So I buy over the counter dry eye drops (no preservatives) and make sure that I am consist each day using them about 6 times a day. Especially if you do a lot of computer work. I hope this might help you too!

I moved to Colorado from Michigan in June. Boy, is it hot here! I miss the water SO much. We just had a couple teaser cooler days (upper 70s, lower 80's) but its back into the upper 80s again. Last week I spied a few yellow leaves so fall coming. It makes me sad to see summer go but there will come a cool day that will snap me into fall mode and I'll embrace it. For now, I'll enjoy the last days of summer. About your broken marigold, I saw a natural dye pot. :)

When we were kids and not allowed to wear mascara yet, my sister and I would use Vaseline on our eyelashes to darken them. Worked great :)
What a creative solution that was, kids can be so amazing at figuring out creative solutions! Just a thought though, that since it’s made from petroleum it may be not so great for people with chemical sensitivities.

My favorite part of Fall (besides the colors) is the smell of oaks in the woods after a rain. mmmmmm... I'm from the Midwest and our climate is pretty much same as yours. But our land is flatter. I have always wanted to make a trip to the New England states area. The area along the Mississippi is similar to New England/ Hudson Valley. So I do get over there. I forage a lot in the countryside in my area. Love watching for deer too.
