Keeping Bioactive enclosures full of gorgeous plants is just such an amazing skill to me. I am on my baby steps in keeping plants alive, and I live in the driest part of the continent so none of mine are as lush as these; it'd take a lot more watering and maintenance to pull that off here. Thanks for showing us your animals and plants!
Mike!! Glad to see the mexican tree frog tank is still treating you well. Pretty cool when the guy that taught you how to diy a tank buys yours a few years later! Keep up the awesome content brother!
Sorry Striker isn't doing very well, hope y'all have another few years together :( I just got my first rescue leo and the trials she's already put me through make me incredible grateful to see her still standing; I'm sure you can relate to some degree. Stay strong little man!
Happy days. I love reptile room tour updates. It's what I look forward to most. Hope you have a safe travel & looking forward to following your adventure. 👍
@@MikeTytula I'm going through the back catalogue of your videos, I'm just in awe with your extensive collection, reminds me of when I was a teenager during the 90's & I had my old collection of lizards, I really do miss them a lot. One day when I get my own place I'll be looking to get back into keeping them again. Until that day comes I can just wish & dream about it.. All the best dude & hope you're having a safe travelling adventure...
love the snakes ! i’ve been wanting my first pet snake a while now and i’ve decided a cornsnake instead of a python because i’ve been reading + getting info that they r more picky with things. do u have any tips or another kind of snake as an option? the small snake you have is cute i think you said it’s the smallest snake u own. are they good first timers than a cornsnake ?
thanks for watching! Honestly, hognoses bought from a reliable source are a great option for beginners. Cornsnakes definitely can be good beginner snakes though. Just make sure you buy from a reputable breeder and not a mass pet store.
Your Mexican Tree Frog tank is the inspo for our rescued Whites Tree Frog pair. We had NO idea how HUGE they were going to be and there was a lone mourning gecko in the tank (same size as yours) but, I haven't seen her in a while. Do you know if WTF's will eat mourning geckos? Also, what is the carpeting plant you have in the background of your MTF tank? and HOW do you get it to stick to the back? I've tried three methods so far and no matter what I do, water gets behind whatever I'm using as a background and ends up getting weighed down by the plants. My goal is to have that tank looking like yours so, all tips are appreciated!
An adult whites would absolutely eat a mourning gecko. We have ficus pumila and ficus pumila quercifolia on the side. If you watch the last dart frog build I show plant hooks and stuff in that, then it grows and sloooowly attaches to the background
For info on gout in ackies check out the yt channel scales 13, who has been dealing with it quite successfully with his ackie thunder for a while. From what i remember his best guess was that dubias were a too high protein staple food in his case. And also frequency of feeding was reduced somewhat substancially.
Many other TH-camrs talk about how the tongue flick means their snake and or lizard is calm and checking things out, is there something different about the red tail ratsnake that the tongue flick means it is unhappy or on edge?
Ya we do. You can definitely try, but make sure they stop producing (typically during winter), if they don’t. I would separate them to ease the pressure on the female
Hi. Good video as always.I don't currently have one but I was wondering if gonyosoma oxycephalum are hard to acclimate and a good substrate and if the humidity has to be high. Because I would love to have a breeding pair of gonyosoma oxycephalum. And have a great day.
I had one for many years but when I moved across the country I gave her to a friend. Now, I think there are better starter animals (for those that have a slightly bigger budget to start)
Where would you recommend planting l9cation for a monstera dubia plant In a bioactive dart frog enclosure? It's 30w x 18d by 30 h.i have foam backround on 3 sides with rock ledges on the top back half with branches and cork rounds protruding on the sides.the plant is approximately 10inches tall

Many other TH-camrs talk about how the tongue flick means their snake and or lizard is calm and checking things out, is there something different about the red tail ratsnake that the tongue flick means it is unhappy or on edge?
It really depends on the kind of tongue flick, and the species in question, a lot do a slow tongue flick because they are upset in some way.

What was the little snake eating the silk worm?
Just learnt what it was, I'm based in the uk, lmk if u know anybody in the uk that produces them
I don’t think they are available over there.
do u have any basilisk lizards
Did you watch the whole video?

I would only recommend getting captive bred individuals, because the WC ones are challenging to acclimate even for experienced keepers.
If u can set a cam inside any habitat I would love to see you stream that.
Ah that would be interesting
Very cool grass lizards
They are the best!
Hey I was curious as to if there was a reason you don’t own any crested geckos? Great video!

Syngonium rayii

Kind of hard to give advice without seeing it, but somewhere it can attach to the background
Whats the plant thats in the rat snake enclosure at the beginning of the video?
Thaumatophyllum Xanadu or you might find it as Philodendron Xanadu since it was reclassified from that
Looks like you got your answer
@@MikeTytula noice
Does anyone know the name of the plant at 1:49 ?? 🙏
Currently blanking on the name haha
Philodendron xanadu
did you build the tank for the oophaga hystrianica? like did you cut and piece the glass together or did you buy it?
I bought the glass that was cut into pieces but it’s fully custom, I gave them all the measurements etc. and I assembled the tank itself
mind if i ask how much all the cut glass cost? Also, where cn i find the same tracks/black edging that you have on your tanks?@@MikeTytula
It’ll vary based on your location and the size of the tank haha.
