Considering all the cool experiences I've been blessed to have in my adult life through music, it's kinda funny to think that being a singer was never actually a goal of mine. I never took a vocal lesson, nor had a realistic desire to be on stage. No, for me, singing was just a way to vent my emotions. I was a depressed, angry teenager, and it was cathartic for me to blast my music when I came home from school, and scream along with my favorite singers. And if there was one song that I considered to be peak release, it's this one! This song was always a real challenge, but I always felt like if I could sing this, I could sing anything! lol
All these years later, this isn't really my preferred style of singing anymore. I don't have that old anger or energy, and I rarely feel the need to scream these days. lol BUT... I needed to belt this out one more time... in honor of teenage me, who never had the chance to do a quality sound recording. So, here I am, screaming my head off, for old times' sake. Enjoy!
